4K is pretty amazing, but the technology is entirely too expensive and there is minimal support for the medium at this time. Copping a 1080p 3D projector is easily the smart move now, especially since their prices have fallen dramatically over the past few years.I copped my first PJ back in like 2007 I think. Best decision I've ever made
There's two big negatives, light control and lamp life. Unless you're in a light controlled room, the PQ isn't going to be that great. When I first got mine I was in an apartment and that was one of my major concerns. I just got some thick ass light blocking curtains from walmart and threw it up. First time I watched the Matrix I was like
With the lamp, as the lamp ages, the brightness of the projector goes down. Depending on the model you got you can get a new lamp for 2-300 bucks. I'm still on the same lamp from when I bought the joint back in 07. Probably got close to 5000 hours on that bytch by now and it's still bright enough for me.
I'm getting a house end of this year, and depending on my financial situation I might just get a 4k projector. The good ones start at 20k, so I'm not really sure if I'm bout dat life
Man trust me. Having 120" of of screen real estate is the best feeling in the world after having a bad ass bytch swallowing your kids
Just throw up some curtains and you good breh. Plus the bytches love it![]()
You really cant go wrong with Epson projectors in my humble opinion. They have them at all price points, from $500 all the way to 20K. My unit cost me 3,000 but is easily better than the comparable alternatives for a standard TV.
