So I got my MBA in December and since then I have had 5 interviews

Getting a MBA can be helpful but a nice general rule of thumb is if you want an MBA that will travel well with you (throughout the country), go for a top 10 school, if you plan to stay in your current area and don't plan to go to a top 10 school, look to see if the job can pay, it not, find the school in your area that offers the best value (typically best graduate network relative to cost). Don't get your MBA if you plan to move from your current area and don't plan to go to a top 10 school. The cost are getting out of control for MBA schools.

8 years later, I don’t think I have the stomach to go back to school and get it. I’m betting on experience and so far not having a masters hasn’t stopped me from being promoted (AVP for A large bank),

But as I read the bio’s of all the senior executives of my company, all of them got a masters, which leads me to believe that I will have a ceiling at some point

I thin it will be worth it in the long run, just to keep your options open and especially if the job you have now is lax. May as well knock it out and get it over with. If you're looking to move in corporate that MBA will open doors, also the people you network with in your MBA program could be other sources of opportunity.

AVP at bank is meh, after MBA entry level at the BOAs of the world is VP and the faster upward movement...I say you go part time if life circumstances dont allow you to go full time(albeit no scholarships for that) , if no kids and crazy bills then go fulltime

Yeah it was hard but that shyt is nothing but writing breh business plans etc... I don't mind writing papers.

I have 7 years experience in health care information technology and I was able to use my past experiences of switching positions to gather experience. The one thing for me was get in a job in higher experienfe with the high salary then take that management role to increase salary even more. Health Care information technology is very competitive

Clinical System Analyst with background in multiple healthcare applications and certifications in Epic Ambulatory. In regards to job searches with your background I would search Paitent Population health/clinical health informatics/system analyst/health care information technology/EMR careers

Yeah, I mean all of the Atlanta area schools I’m looking at are good for what I need(UGA, GSU, Mercer). They aren’t top 10/A-tier schools but they aren’t shytty either and I’m def not quitting my job to back to school full time at this point.

Somedays I think I shouldve gone shortly after undergrad but my grades were trash enough to keep me out of any decent school. My dumbass wanted to be an engineer for about 2 years.
