So I guess the "20/20 Experience" was a flop, right?

@Obtain Knowledge Keep it up, man. You're gonna be the GOAT troll someday :salute:

All I was doing was asking a question because I remembered how much of a big deal this album was before it got released. I remember checking this album out after seeing all the hype it got and then thinking to myself "that's it?" :ld:

its a quality flop.. The OP got it wrong

Quality wise, it is a flop

Maybe that's how I should've put it then. Because if cats remember, Future Sex Love Sounds was huge in 06' and if I remember correctly, pretty much owned that year. It (Future Sex Love Sounds) was a better album in my opinion too.

When it was about to come out I thought there was no way it would be better than Futuresex/Lovesound, and actually felt it wasn't when it first dropped. However, after bumpin that shyt heavy ever since it dropped and listening to it side by side with Futuresex, the 20/20 experience is a significantly better overall album, there are only 2 songs that I'm not that into and the rest are straight fire.

Futuresex was dope, and it has a couple standouts but as an overall album I'll take the 20/20 experience over it all day everyday. Timbo was on another level, I think he found even better replacements for Danja which I didn't think was possible.

like i said after the first 4-5 days of listening to it, there's nothing classic about this album. Sonically, it's nothing different than what Timbo's done with Sparxxx or Ginuwine or the rest of the Super Friends crew with the beat switches, double taps, etc. Cool album but a lot of folks blew it up to something it's not. FS/LS was miles ahead of this lyrically and experimentally. It's aight for what it is

Honestly, I was just going by the fact that I didn't see anyone or hear anyone talking about the album anymore and it just "felt" like it had been a while since the single had been out and nothing followed it. But I didn't the single was still at the top of the charts like that.
