So I had a flabby nikka moment, when did they stop teaching cursive writing in school?

My cursive is immaculate cause I took pride in my handwriting (my OCD)

On another note kids are also not taught how to write checks or read clocks anymore
My son is in the first grade and he did a lesson on reading the clock a few weeks ago. Now he looks at the clock on the wall and can tell time right away. So it’s not done way with everywhere.

Had us wasting our damn time learning all these damn writing styles only to have texting and typing replace them all.

Not read clocks?? I didn't learn about writing checks until junior high to highschool
It shocked me when I heard it but I understood because of the digital age. I learned about writing checks in the 4th grade, I was in a gifted and talented program and the math teacher taught us how to write checks and balance a checkbook (we also learned about the stock market)

It’s good to know that they still teaching it, honestly I felt like a old head hearing about the stuff we had to learn in school that they dont teach anymore.

Well they usually teach cursive handwriting during the early years of school (2nd-5th/6th grade) after that in most K-12 school districts don't continue teaching it 🤷🏾‍♂️ knowing how to write in cursive isn't a necessity in life although some consider it to be due to the fact you can make your signatures more distinct for security purposes compared to standard handwriting in which anybody can easily mimic your handwriting.

It's harder to copy someone's cursive handwriting compared to their basic handwriting 🤷🏾‍♂️.
