I legit had to explain to one of my employees (21 year old) how a VCR worked a few weeks ago
We were talking about blockbuster and she went blank when I mentioned people being rude and not always rewinding the tape when they returned it
Like the entire concept had her mind shooting error messages and she was like "so what happens if they dont rewind it? It won't play

Had us wasting our damn time learning all these damn writing styles only to have texting and typing replace them all.
Damn sure do. 
That was the reason for teaching it.
We sometimes forget the fundamentals as a society.

OT but something that threw me off too is older students not knowing how to use an actual clock to tell time…not just that they won’t try, they literally do not know how to do it at all…this used to be taught in the lower grade levels or even at home but with cellphones and other electronics it’s become “useless”

On topic: learned it in the 4th grade and was shyt at it but as I got older I got better at it. Especially when dating/singing my art.
