Breh.

Never ever text a married woman. He knows his woman is for the streets. That’s a given. The amount of strife and pressure that woman has that man under is bound to unravel on someone other than her.

Consider yourself very lucky he caught you at the job and not in traffic. Most times when you read the local news and you read a story of an older breh shooting another older breh, trust and believe that shyt is over a married woman.

You must be really young or naive to think that he would want to have coffee with you after you texting his wife. My wife’s father calls me to ask for my wife. No man supposed to call or text another mans wife without checking with him first.

It sounds like they are going through some serious problems at home, and he thinks you're the issue. Back away. If he's that unstable who knows what he might do. Hopefully your friend will be good, but dude sounds like he has some serious issues. If you kept it pro, then tbh you haven't done anything wrong. In 2020 we live in the day of communication, and if you have never texted or commented anything inappropriate then you're good. He's insecure, and going to forever have an issue with his women working in a professional environment.

Stop clowning OP about the coffee date (:lolbron:), OP was trying to defuse the situation.

I think you handled it quite well, definitely get HR involved.
He should have accepted the offer and dashed the coffee in @heart face for being so damn dumb.

You literally just killed any chance at a professional promotion because you clearly lack he ability to think critically.
