When I worked retail there were a few 60, 70 year old workers having to do part-time because they didn't have enough money saved up to truly retire and could no longer get jobs in their field most likely due to their age. Not...gonna...be...me. That's how America spits out its old and elderly. I rather spend my next 40 years building business systems to make me rich. I said we need low cost fusion power soon in another thread recently and I was laughed at. This is why. Energy is the main resource that matters in the 21st century. With low cost energy a UBI makes sense. If we are dependent on fossil fuels deep into the 21st century as supplies dwindle and prices go up, this married with the natural increasing income inequality endemic to capitalism will lead to chaos. Businesses wont have anyone to buy their shyt. Families will not be able to make rent or pay the note. If people think things are bad now, just wait.

Like what? That 20 to 40 dollar salary range accounts for a large chunk of the population..... You axe 30% of those jobs over a ten year span and you'll kick the economy dead in its nuts......

And people got on them McDonalds workers for 'asking too much' when they went on strike to get $15. These rich folks were going to replace them regardless, and they will replace as many other professions with robots as soon as they can. Now it becomes a lot more real when peoples' own profession and not those fast food workers profession is at risk.

I think that most of generation Y knows this. They hate working for someone else and aren't looking for a job to work for the next 25 to 40 years. I'm the same boat as you: the minute when my money works for me entirely more than going to a job, I'm leaving altogether and never looking back. Jobs outlived its purpose in America and employees have fewer and fewer rights as these corporatists gain unimaginable power. I wouldn't be surprised at some point to see employees getting arrested and sent to jail for simply leaving their jobs when the general population decides to branch off of their jobs.

My plan is to use Social Security money to pay for basic expenses, relocate to Malaysia and buy like 10-20 businesses for 100k.

Investments in B2B services mostly. Gas/Oil, transportation and logistics. When you own businesses and create jobs in Malaysia you get automatic permanent residency.

There is a lot of opportunity there and potentially Indonesia if they get their act together. Mostly suburban at best outside of Kuala Lumpur. Gonna use my Woman to network with Japanese companies who would like to do biz in the area as well and eat

It's hard to make a good income in Malaysia but there is no limit to how much profit you can earn through a business there.

Study up at least one small business type here whether it be a gas station or other, perfect it and then replicate abroad where they don't have the know-how. Profit and eat.
