So is Curry a complete failure because he lost in the first round?

Curry can't be the best player on the team. That goes for every star PG on a team; they can't be your best player if you want to win rings. Dominate wings/front court players make a bigger impact. You clowns being eating up that media narrative of putting it all on just one player. It's fukking dumb.

Yeah check the year on that pic breh. :heh:

Use exceptions to disprove rules brehs. That said, you give Curry players like Mahorn, Laimbeer, Salley, and Rodman in his frontcourt and they would still be alive.

First off that is not true. Bill Laimbeer was multiple time all-star in the 80's...you know when they still had a C position on the roster.:heh: And he led the league in rebounds and was a regular amongst the league leaders. And I wasn't talking about any one of them individually...I was focusing on them as a whole.

Thunder/TSC
Except that Harden is 24 and already took a team to the finals. Curry is 26 and hasn't done that. Neither has say..a two time mvp like Nash. Sounds like Harden will win more than 2 mvp's in due time.:sas2:

Also, Harden played better than Curry in their respective final elimination games..
Even in the games he played bad in this series, he was still clutch in most of them. That last game didn't even need for him to be clutch as they found other ways to score already, they just lost it on (lack of) defense.

:sas1:

This place never fails to amaze me. I always think I've seen some shyt on here & then somebody comes through with something else.

We make it back to the Finals this year I guess Reggie took us there.

Why you mad though breh? :sas1:

Were you this dismissive of Harden's achievements when he had that 4th quarter to get you halfway into the finals? :sas2:

It was the deciding quarter of a crucial game 5 against the most winning team in the NBA in the last 20 years. If he hadn´t stepped up, there´s no guarantee OKC makes it to the final. Of course Durant and Westbrook were still more important overall. But you can´t say Harden hasn´t done anything the last 3 playoffs when he did something like that. Most players never have such an important performance in their entire career. He´s already done it.

If you go through the history of the NBA, you'll find similar instances where role players stepped up; in part it's causation for why teams win in the first place. However, that doesn't mean they do any taking of any sort - they don't have a #1/1a/b workload and they don't have the role of a leader, therefore they ain't the ones leaving footprints in the sand.

As for Curry playing better than Harden: that's just bias for the likable Curry. I mean, I like both Curry and Harden. Two of the best of their generation. And yes, Harden has chucked up a lot of shots this series and missed a lot of them plus his defense is awful as usual (although the last two games he actually played a bit of D) and Curry hasn't played terrible these playoffs. But Curry isn't really all that much better on the defensive end first of all. They're both just not any good at it really.

You go look at the numbers from where they've been #1 options in the playoffs (12/13 & 13/14) and their success in those games and come back to me.

But second, and more importantly, Harden has averaged more points, more rebounds, more steals, more blocks, less turnovers, a higher FT%, has scored more clutch points and has a higher plus/minus. All on virtually the same amount of minutes. Curry only has the higher fg and 3p% and assists. Y'all letting your hate for Harden cloud your judgment. He has disappointed sure but he still has been very important to his team.

Stars are made in the playoffs. We saw how ineffective he was once his card was pulled.

I've mentioned this before. Fg% is important but it depends on the context. It's very much overrated these days, especially on this board.

The context of Harden's #s were put into perspective once those whistles were put away and regular season-type defense was no where to be seen.

Nope. NBA Stats - Player Clutch
Only Durant, Lillard and Howard have scored more overall clutch points so far. Notice how Howard and Harden are on the same team. If the Rockets couldn't have relied on Howard, Harden would prolly have even more clutch points.

No, like I said, that shyt was a blatant lie - he wasn't clutch. Lets look at what the numbers REALLY say -

Shooting 22% in the clutch, 10% from the 3, I could divide, that's one every... ah who gives a fukk, that shyt was garbage.

Keeping it real: I'm not going to read this thread, because I know how many idiots are in here.

But - That's what everyone was saying about Durant. Can't be a superstar if you can't make it out the first.

Warriors had a good year, lost to a better team and a better coach.
