Tidal is one of the best streaming apps out there. And these last few months have proven it. No other apps give you more then just music. Exclusive content, tv shows,and new releases first. All for 10 a month. Be serious.Tidal is a heavy hitter and its ran by a black man who is about the music and not some Jee who is about the dollar. Apple may be branded better but Tidal gives music enthisiast what they pay for period.

I get the most bang for my buck with Tidal, so that's who I'm rolling with. The exclusives are enough, but when you add on the highest quality audio available, it's a no brainer.

It's funny cats have the audacity to bring up bad press as a way to prove it being garbage, when there has been a clear smear campaign full of lies done on it since it started. They've told you they only offer subscriptions for double the price of it's competitors, and people still believe that bs to this day. Just recently they blamed them for Rihanna's album leaking early, which someone again stated as fact in this thread, when her own label admitted it was their own fault.

The beef with the Tidal pricing model stemmed from the $20 price for the Hi Fi option, which leaked out first, and later clarified prior to launch. The regular $10 price was the same as Spotify's was at the launch.

Apple's pricing model was applauded because they introduced the family plan. Meaning 3 people could share the service for $15. Spotify and Tidal had to switch up and offer a similar plan to compete. Spotify also had to add a student discount when Tidal introduced that. As far as pricing, Spotify is just following the market, but as the streaming leader currently, they have the luxury to do that.

Spotify was the first with a student discount. Where tf are you getting this awful information?

The major labels control the pricing not Spotify or any streaming service to license their music. Apple wanted to offer $7.99 and the labels said no to prevent a precedent being set.
