The word hotep is an intentionally ambiguous dog-whistle term that is used to signify that a black person (likely, a black heterosexual male) does not exactly conform to intersectional/black feminist politics and, therefore, their opinions/world view can be summarily dismissed.

Like I said early, the first time I heard it used in a negative sense was when people like Tariq would use it towards those Sa Neter TV debating type cats.

Then your "The Root'/Blavity/BLM type blacks started using it towards people like Tariq and Umar Johnson, pretty much anyone talking about being pro black and not even really going hard about Egypt or some religion.

Then the current phase is these cats who arent even "conservative" in an African perspective but more so straight up republicans who dont even care about Black People and upliftment, but more so slandering black people under the guise of "self sufficiency". They expose themselves when they start caping for white people who do dumb things.

Alt right may not be the right term, but many of the people currently using the title align themselves with the American Right/Republican party.

The original people being called hotep, reject the American/Western Political system as a whole.

Exactly, hotep was a term used to describe a Pro Black, Pan African individual. Actual hoteps will not be aligning themselves with Alt Right White supremacist, marrying white women and wearing MAGA hats

Basically...

If you believe in racial segregation, capitalism, traditional family values, right wing Black nationalism (think NOI)...you are a hotep or ankh-righter.

Not here to debate, just want clarification.

The 2 most prominent Twitter Hoteps (Hotep Jesus/VibeHi & @Uncle Hotep) are basically red-pilled black Conservatives. I don't look at them as the same as your traditional conscious community hotepa.

my thing is they'd achieve more financial success with simply being up front. They could legit link up with all the other black people who are on that wave and not have to piggy back white organizations. the "Hotep" thing is too small, and the other red pill blacks tagging along with white people make them look like tokens (which they may be/are) which makes nobody take them serious and they look like a parody.

I`m not legitimizing what they believe in, I'm just stating they all look like they are hustling backwards.
