I just got put on to Kenny Omega and started watching his old to most recent videos. Dudes gonna be a big star and win fans over if he joins the E. His mic and ring work is spot on and he has tons of charisma. I hope he goes to smackdown eventually. He needs to fued with Ziggler and team up with Styles then turn heel and have epic matches with him.

The stoop with dat dope fanny padding
1. I just said Omega is a good talker, but NJPW promos are different from WWE ones. AJ had TNA experience which is one of the only reasons he went straight to the main roster and didn't do NXT. He knew how to work TV, PPV's, do backstage segments, in-ring segments, how to carry himself in long 20-minute back and forth promos, what to do with a live mic in front of an American audience that understands every word you're saying, etc etc etc. There's too far a disconnect between NJPW style production and WWE/TNA style production.
2. Like I said, Omega is not the level of star as AJ. AJ performed on national TV for years and is a name known to a lot of people who don't necessarily pay attention to Puro or Indies. Omega doesn't have that same luxury
3. You write "Omega to NXT :mjlol:" as if guys like Shinsuke, Joe, Roode, and Aries aren't down there as well, all guys with decades of experience, 3 of whom did TNA for years, and are all renowned worldwide. Omega to NXT would not only be beneficial to him, but also to WWE, who need to figure out the marketing, booking, and writing for him. Omega doesn't have cool gloves or a red jacket or some catchy nickname he can attach to his branding and subsequently his merchandising yet. You also don't know whether it'd be best to debut him as a face or heel. Omega's a potential future main event star on the level of AJ, it would be prudent to take precaution and not fukk that up or limit his ceiling

It's a good point about NXT plus that brand will desperately need the star power he provides considering shinsuke roode joe the revival are all gonna be gone

His swag and laid back persona reminds me of DDP. There's no way he won't get over in the E. Him and AJ will be like the Rock/Austin of this era.

This kinda sums up why I don't want to see him join. He could continue to have modern classics in Japan or wrestle bums like Ziggler and Ambrose for months on end. Sure, an AJ match would be great but I'd prefer to see an Okada rematch.

Basically Kenny has unfinished business in NJ. He can build his legacy for another couple of years in Japan and then come to WWE as an even bigger deal.

I'd hold on until the night after mania

That rabid crowd will create the showball effect to launch him, casual fans will follow because of the "oh shyt" factor from that specific crowd along with knowing Kenny has the goods to keep em interested once they're made aware.

Let that crowd do the heavy lifting for you.

No doubt

In WWE we get the potential for an AJ classic....possibly Nakamura too. Then a bunch of rinse and repeat garbage against Ziggler and Ambrose.

In NJPW we got potential classics with Shibata, Okada, Ishii, Naito, Ibushi, Suzuki, Tanahashi. Plus other top quality shyt like Sanada, Elgin, Goto, etc

No wrestling fan should want Omega in WWE. But if Omega chooses that, good for him.

We are all getting worked though so its moot

Smackdown starts, AJ is already in the ring, gloating over his title defense at the last PPV. Suddenly..... John Cena's music hits! :stopitslime:

Cena comes down to the ring and says he wants a rematch with AJ TONIGHT.....

AJ's like :stopitslime: "wtf makes you think I wanna have a match with YOU of all people? Haven't I beaten you enough times!?" and refuses.

Just then, DBRY'S MUSIC HITS!

Bryan comes to the ring like ":bryan: what's wrong, you scared AJ!? How bout it, fans! You wanna see AJ defend the belt tonight against Cena!?"

Right when AJ gets pissed and goes into the "I don't care I'll just beat him again!" lines

the lights go out and Kenny Omega's music hits! The crowd, understandably, loses their shyt.

Omega walks down the ramp with a spotlight on him and talks shyt while his music's still playing:

"You all know who I am! I don't NEED any introduction! AJ CERTAINLY knows who I am! You claim to be "the face that runs the place!?" Well Im the man who ran you out of Japan! And now, I'm here to run you out of- :dwillhuh:"

The lights turn back on suddenly as Omega gets tackled by AJ, who ran up the ramp while the lights were out. The fight back and forth for a while before security pulls pulls them apart. Crowd chants "LET THEM FIGHT!"

Camera pans to the ring. Cena: :dwillhuh: DBRY: :mjgrin:while they cut to commercial.

Social Media explodes. Smackdown gets dem views.

----------

One hour mark, AJ cuts a promo backstage:

":queen: AJ, Kenny Omega just arrived here and he appears to be gunning for you! Are you wrried about him interfering in your match with Ce-"

":heh: Kenny Omega!? Why would I be worried about a 'Kenny Omega'!? He ain't on my level! He's not worth worrying about! I'm more worried about Ellsworth! Acting like he's so important and we should all know who he is!

:wtb: you damn right we know who you are! You're the man who fought his way to the top, and when the eyes of the whole world was on you... YOU LOST. Then you RAN. You see... when I LEFT Japan, I had done everything there a wrestler could possibly do! I PUT on the greatest matches in modern history NIGHT IN AND NIGHT OUT! I BEAT all the biggest names they had... and I DID IT as WORLD CHAMPION! I ran THAT PLACE like I run THIS PLACE.

See.... the ONLY REASON you're even HERE is because YOU COULDNT GET IT DONE! You know why? Cause you were NEVER ON MY LEVEL and you NEVER WILL BE!

And when I DO find you, I sending you BACK to Japan so you can be a failure in BOTH PLACES."

--------------

End of the second hour, AJ/Cena put on a damn fine 20 minute match for the belt, and AJ has the upper hand. Announcers note how AJ isn't worried and is putting on a clinic, while Cena just may be detracted.

But when AJ has Cena set up for the Styles Clash, Omega shows back up and superkicks him in the face.

He then throws Cena in the Aoi Shoudou/Blue Impulse, and hits the One-Winged Angel on Styles.

He takes the world title and drapes it over AJ's face like a burial shroud to close the show.

AJ: :dead:

Cena: :why:

Omega:

Anyway, basically

Natural feud between Omega/AJ, with the underlying theme being hinted at being Omega "kicked" AJ out of Bullet Club in NJPW and AJ showed up in WWE right after.... but it's never outright stated.

Cena being Cena, feels slighted because AJ as champ wants to fight this new dude with the title on the line instead of him.

Every time Cena wrestles either AJ or Omega, the other interferes and costs him the match.

This would culminate in a Triple Threat title match for the belt at one of the big 4 PPVs (not the next one, but the one after that)..... in which Omega pins Cena to win the belt.

I'd have him keep it for 3 to 6 months before losing it in ANOTHER triple threat match cage match with Cena and AJ... in which AJ pins Cena.

Stipulation (if Kenny goes back to Japan) is that if Kenny loses the belt he goes back to Japan! :lupe:

Final reasoning being:

Kenny goes back as the heel he was, but has no Bullet Club. But has finally had a taste of major promotion gold. And wants more.

Cena DESPERATELY wants win 16 or whatever.... and has spent the last year or so having the shyt thwarted either by AJ or the dude AJ treated him as second fiddle for.

AJ settles the score with Omega by sort-of beating him for the title and sending him back to Japan (and possibly taking over his stable), but technically doesnt beat Omega for the belt..... leading the door open for another future feud, or even just cross-pacific vague subliminals.

Oh, Omega's stable by the end of his run: Him, Ziggler, Dash, Dawson. Omega would actually feud with Ziggler for about 3 weeks with Cena/AJ constantly running up on him. Ziggler would turn heel. More heel. Whatever.

Pro Wrestling Tees sent me an email hinting at Omega possibly making his WWE debut and to buy his merch before it goes. Seems like they're in on the work, whether he signs or not. Smart strategy either way :ehh:
