This explains it. Have you idiots ever herd of Occam's razor?

:snoop:

at first, i was about to agree with you.
BUT, this is once again the WHITE man trying to tell the world what black culture is. you can call it a joke all you want. if it goes on long enough. the next generation wont know the difference. its the same thing that is happening with music.

last but not least, that new fake harlem shake, is really derived from racism. sure it is. even if some of you dont know it. its white people laughing at the monkeys in the cage. "look at em do their little dance thing. lol. they move like this, look, look. haa haaaa... look at me doing the move...haaa haaaaaa."

thats why they are intentionally not trying to do the PROPER/CORRECT/REAL harlem shake. there's a reason they call it something it isnt. they are trying to clown black folks.

man no one's remembering this meme in a few months let alone the next generation

and lol at the second part

we see thru you. those of us that dont. time to wake up. yes in 2012 its still racial. what a shame.

How is connected in any way to black people? It's 5 white Australians doing goofy shyt to a song made by an Australian producer. Who is gonna watch that and say, "black people look stupid"

People are in here saying that people don't know what the real Harlem Shake is, but they're gonna look at someone rolling on the ground, someone dancing with a helmet on and go :favre: "fukking black people" :why:

They're not trying to do the real Harlem Shake because the people in the video weren't doing the real Harlem Shake. Everyone of these videos is copying the first one, which is people doing goofy shyt once the beat drops.

it doesnt matter what the ORIGINAL reason was for the first or 2nd video. they should've changed the name of the meme.

What should they have named the meme if not the name of the song people are dancing to?

Who should've changed the name of the meme? Is there some meme naming board that gives official titles, or is it regular people posting their videos with damn near the exact same name so their video can come up in the youtube search results?

R&B is now POP electronica music
HipHOp is now Pop/Southern Strip Club/ Electronica music ONLY.

now we that are grown enough to remember know what R&B sounds like, and its not POP electronica. we know what HIPHOP sounds like all over the US and the world. and all of it is not POP/SOUTHERN strip club/electronica music.

but if you keep telling people the wrong thing. eventually the wrong definition will catch on. and it will change from being a joke, a fad, to a fact and reality.

Both of you do. That's why you're posting in the thread :heh:

Nah, it just feels silly that people are dedicating energy to a stupid dance meme on youtube. Its not something really worth examining beyond that breh...

Not everything has to have "knowledge" kicked around about it.

This is the nikka responsible for this fake ass Harlem Shake. He is a DJ/Producer called Baauer.

He could've called the track 'unrhythmic shake' instead of Harlem Shake.

But this nikka knew what he was doin.

*Edit*

He lived in Harlem which is explains why he called the track 'Harlem Shake'

He didn't expect it to blow up like it did. But still...

they should've changed the name of the meme.

:deadcena:

My nikka.....it's a fukking internet meme :heh:

The people just call it whatever the fukk they want....don't nobody put that much thought into naming those shyts. "Let's just name the meme after the song".....simple, and it makes sense

Ain't no damn meme organization that comes up with the names of these shyts, or who you can express your meme grievances to :heh:

We got some clowns in this thread :russ:

The meme to me is stupid as hell, but I understand why it's so popular... if anyone is gonna be mad, be mad at Filthy Frank for making his own version of the song/dance without giving a damn about what the original was...

With that said, just chalk this up as another instance where black folks start something and white folks swoop in and maks tons of money off of it. The shyt just keeps happening. :manny:

The dance has nothing to do with the song though. The song didn't blow up.until the meme took off.

That's why I talked about Filthy Frank. He did his version of what he wanted to call the Harlem Shake for the song.

Doesn't matter anyway. Not like nikkas are ever gonna come up with something as simple as that and go national with it. Other than maybe Laffy Taffy. :manny:
