A boycott would get it popping but folks aren't down for boycotts like in the old days. In fact, Wendy's will be viewed as hip and trendy for this. Automation is the name of the game. WalMart subconsciously prepped folks for this. They'll just think, "Oh so this is like what WalMart has?" not thinking about how folks are out of a job as a result.

How does this work in other industries, and in other companies not ran by people making 6 million a year? A mom and pop burger shop that employs 6 people at 10 an hour is supposed to just jump up to 15? I mean....this shyt is unrealistic. 15 dollars is too fukking much. Well, at least where I live. I know cost of living is higher elsewhere. If they want to increase it, they should make it make sense in regards of the cost of living. 15 across the board is dumb

Until airlines and vehicles go automated. Truck companies already doing this. Planes already fly by computer.

Eventually its gonna be no pilots, maybe 1 per plane is shyt goes awry.

That's why you have to find something to do, that cant be recreated artificially. In these times, its basically man vs computer / robot. Im a bit older 37 next week. My son and stepson are 15, and my other son is 10. Trust im tryna explain this shyt, these lil retail jobs aint gonna be here. Gotta think global, or niche local (lil spots/events that cant be replicated).

gotta disagree with you right here breh. It might be 500 to 1000 years before we can come up with an autopilot that can factor in all the issues related to a plane landing and takeoff. The recent situation where the pilot intentionally crashed the plane into that mountain also has many airlines shook about having enough live bodies in the cockpit. I'm studying all of this right now. People overestimate how an autopilot operates. The need for pilots is real. If only their pay really reflected this need.

Stop pretending like MCD's $$$ right now dont make ends meet for what it was intended for. Some dude had 4 kids from 2 women and saying how he NEEDED the $15hr min wage...No you NEED better life decision making abilities, that is not what MCD's was meant to be

Also why should fastfood employees get this, why not everywhere? Kohls employees dont make $15hr, macys dont, home depot dont start at $15... why fast food joints specifically? They work the least hardest when it comes to expectations. So then what they make $15hr... how (if they even want to that that point) do they advance? do they apply at Home depot who offers $12, and say "currently making $15hr.... I want $19..."

Its not as simple as just giving people a 50% raise, how fair is it to everyone else in the world? You got landscapers busting their balls in 100degree heat making $12hr

I dont agree with exploiting teens either by paying them less for the same job as an adult if they are doing the same work. Doesn't matter who is doing a job. Mickey D's doesn't make less profit when teens are working instead of adults do they? Do they charge your ass less cause its teens working instead of adults? Of course not.

Teens dont work these jobs just cause they are fast food. They work them cause there are a lot of positions and often they have very flexible schedules and don't require much if any work history. I don't know how some of yall were raised but I never look down on anyone making an honest living. Im not judging anyone working a low paying job cause I dont know the circumstances that led to them to needing to do that. I have a degree and make good money but I will never get so arrogant as to believe I cant fall on hard times. The people you look down on could be you one day. Some bad luck, a court case, false charge or something can make you lose your job or be unemployable overnight. It can happen to anyone.. even you..

My neighbor/best neighborhood friend is a commercial pilot for Allegiant. That's not his viewpoint.
