I never liked fukking Wendy's ever since their food made me throw up when I was a kid. I hope they go the way of Blockbusters and get replaced with Arby's.
Being able to communicate without the app is the skill. And your greatly underestimating the power of a dollar in other countries.
Being an innovator and running your own business isn't a plan, nor will it help in an overall bad economy.

There is not much customer service going on in these places. I've got stories ( as we all probably do); but when I am at firehouse, and I am clear and adament about them not putting a pickle in the bottom of the box, and the order taker is looking me dead in my eyes and says " yes I understand" and on the receipt it also states " no pickle", yet I get home and open my sub and the foul stench and odor of pickle has pierced my nose and has gotten into my sub.Customer Service is a skill..... Its the biggest industry in America.....
long term this is insanely cheaper thoughLOL. They're willing to automate the cashier and spend that money to then renovate all these locations instead of a pay raise.![]()
long term this is insanely cheaper though
I will never spend a dime there again then.
What has changed with the time is inflation and the cost of living..... and wages have not kept up with either..... Also, fast food is not cheap. A combo is 7 to 8 bucks at most joints except McDonalds, so if going up 20% on menu items can compensate for 12-15 dollar wage then I'm all for it.
And I don't know if you've ever worked in fast food, but its not a lazy person's gig
Who the fukk would pay $10-11 for a fast food mealPeople being scared that fast food jobs will be automated is funny as shyt to me. I'm like, good they are shytty ass jobs that no one should want in the first place. At the same time I do realize that people feel that is there only option for employment and rely heavily on it to support their families. But I also believe there is a better opportunity, where you can do similar duties as you're doing in the fast food restaurant, but get paid more and that's where the energy should be focused, imo, not in line protesting to make your fast food job pay a "livable" wage.

Exactly. This is just a scare tactic...
And if you work in IT, you know how difficult it will be to automate all these jobs. Companies will invest MILLIONS and spend 5 years building basic HR and accounting software that doesn't even work then spend more millions and another 5 years trying to fix it. Now imagine having to do that with robots. We are a long way away from robots taking over every job...
In order for capitalism to really work, the ones on the bottom have to stay fed..... and also, they're going to be the biggest workforce 9 times out of 10..... and when it gets to the point when they can't eat, the whole system is in danger of toppling....
