Especially since when they do come across something good, they just say we gonna save that for Patreon.

I notice a lot of podcasts doing this now and it makes me wonder if this is a turning point where podcasts start to fall off
I'm not in the demographic that's going to pay for specific patreons and if i feel like your free podcast is subpar as fukk or if every topic i actually care about is behind the paywall i'm likely to just bail

they've went from one decent podcast that was sort of a routine listen to two dull as hell podcasts and I don't listen to either of them.

funny that the outcome of all of this is the only likable one is Rory
he's the only one I wouldn't mind hearing on another podcast if he was a guest.

Why isn't it?

Because at least before, Spotify was paying him for exclusivity. Now, listeners are subject to whatever Spotify feels like doing as far as monetization, and all he gets is whatever their standard profit sharing is, if there even is any for non exclusive podcasts.

Basically, breh went on that rant about Spotify paying him what he's worth just to eventually give them the product back for free.

I mean that’s good for a guy that’s supposedly done out here. People be spinning stuff when he post things like this but would he clowning if somebody posted him being number 100 or some shyt. It seems that he’s doing ok to me. I might try to listen to the latest episode to see if I want to get back into it. I mostly catch clips on YouTube now.
