The moral panic around sports betting is idiotic.
Moral panic sure. But it's killing the game because these people are sponsoring the game and there has been history of refs for instance fixing games due to bets. Due to the infamous 1919 World Series and the NBA Ref Scandal, it's a pretty good idea to think sports betting and leagues should have a wide girth apart.

I don’t think it should cause panic. But shyt is dead wrong how this shyt went from them telling us how addictive and dangerous gambling was, to our government/states getting paid to eventually make this shyt pretty much legal everywhere, and allow the companies to go full steam ahead marketing it to the people.

Cause before recently they was having awareness about gamblers anonymous and shyt lol. All the sports leagues acted like they looked down on the shyt. But now shyt done flipped completely.

I’m personally not a gambler and never been so it don’t effect me and it’s way more important issues going on. But they really are setting nikkas up to step in the ooze. And nikkas will step in the ooze.

Right, people will complain about it and go to a bar later on filled with teetering alcoholics. Now i will say, there is a seedy underbelly to sports betting. But its nothing people haven't seen before. If u have an addictive personality u need to stick to Fantasy picks.

I'm a small-time positive gambler that is fortunate enough for it to supplement my income, sports betting is only a problem for sports purists. There are players and referees that I know are sketchy, and people more successful than me apply that variable into their models. Refs, coaches, managers, owners, and commissioners have always had an issue with certain teams and players. The influences of corruption through sports betting is minute when it comes to the sports world. If you loved pure sport, there are dozens of concerns you should focus on before sports betting.

Chris Paul's feud with dirty cac Scott Forster is about him insulting Chris's son, and that has affected the outcome of multiple playoffs, a much bigger issue than gambling.

Idk at least some of the platforms pretend to care with self regulation tools and interruptions about counseling. Became legal here early 2023, bet about 3500 thru the year on boxing and came out 75 dollars ahead lol.

But yeah sports betting sounds way better than gambling and its use is definitely intentional
