It's true, san Quentin sits right on the water in Marin, they have been trying for years to find a way to move a fukking prison to get that land back.

but seriously, why should that land be a fukkin prison. Makes no damn sense , outside the fact that IF you escaped you'd have to swim across to make it to land. But who cares , it's not the 18th century anymore.

Prisons should be in rural areas, in north dakota somewhere - so when you escape you'll have to brave the elements and mother nature.

Believe or not, alot blacks owned their property in the city and we're offered major cash to sell, that what my family did and others I know that's the real, the parents (orginal owners) died and their children kids sold the house and moved inland....that's the reason not just the government taking down the projects.

1. Why spend the money to close a prison, raze it and then remove it....and build another one somewhere else?

2. Where exactly is that money gonna come from?

Hot rental market sparks suspicions of landlord arson in San Francisco

This house is worth a million and is just a couple houses away from mine. Keep in mind that this is in the flatlands, just a block removed from San Pablo Ave, which is a major thoroughfare between Oakland and Richmond.

Houses in Lakeview selling for a mil and up too. :whoo:

283 Farallones St, San Francisco, CA 94112 | Zillow

How the fukk a house on that street with bars on the bottom floor windows selling for a mil? :what: The police wouldn't even reopen the police substation of Broad Street literally a couple years ago unless the whole thing was encased in bulletproof glass and houses down the street really going for a million?

OMI neighbors, Inner City Youth call for reopening 103 Broad St.

I used to live on Ramsell up the hill from Randolph and bullets used to come through the windows sometimes back in the late 80's and early 90's. Now houses on the Dolph selling for seven figures. :what: But when I lived there it was like growing up on the same block as Tre, Ricky and Doughboy. :blessed: Sometimes I wish I had a time machine to go back that era when J's wasn't retros. :mjcry: But Lakeview was too grimey back then. These new residents in the View have now idea about the history of where they stay. :snoop:

location doesn't mean beach front, beautiful area, nice schools in all cases

it can simply mean it's in an area that land is scarce.. or somewhere we there is a high demand..

or..... and most important.... will become way more valuable in the future

my folks bought a house in loudoun count for 350k... way over what it looked like... country ass area with nothing there... but it had promise

well now they are the 2nd richest county in america... one of the fastest growing in america.. and turned from country into a city/suburb and because it's 30 mins from dc... that same house is worth 750k

look at all that brooklyn real estate that nobody who lived there could afford... and people wondered why.... now you see gentrified brooklyn and those houses have tripled in price... so your best bet was to get in early

like right here.... what you think that shytty million dollar house is worth............ once they remove all the nikkas out the area and the bay becomes rich white people ville.. and you get to sell that same house for 2 milly cause a nice neighborhood is built, low crime, and now they put up good schools

you gotta look 5-10 years ahead if you playing the real estate game... your property/area/city could be on a serious decline or a serious come up... i think the bay is about to come up(kick the nikkas out) any day now

San Francisco and Oakland are turning into some weird hipster/yuppie/tech nerd socially inept hybrid where everyone kind of looks the same. A bunch of lames wearing their Ivy League sweaters shirts or tech company t shirts with boat shoes and a Coke habit.

It used to be a place where everything was unique, and in many ways it still
Is, but the tech boom is kind of hollowing out the life of the city.

I visited in 1997, 2008, and then moving here in 2012, it is weird seeing how different it has become. I can only imagine how it feels for people being from here.

A huge culture clash is happening in the bay. Money rules here, and it is starting to tread on the local population.

The city is itself is actually starting to get lame. However there are still many gems that the city has to offer.

As soon as my girl finishes grad school we are about to bounce for cheaper pastures.

Yeah, they've already renamed different areas of Oakland. They call the lower North, The Poet's Corner now:scusthov:

But in the Bay, the high COL and real estate is somewhat justified. SF has arguably some of the best weather. It really never gets too hot or too cold. Summer and winter everywhere else is like hell or frozen hell with two weeks of Bay like weather in April and October. The scenery in Sf is spectacular. SF is a top three international tourist destination for the weather and scenery alone. Nowhere has dank like Northern Cali too. And even houses in the hood in SF, Oakland, Vallejo, EPA and Richmond have garages, driveways and backyards. My folks sold our old house in Lakeview, SF for $200K back in the 90's when nikkas was getting killed outside every month. $200K is nothing in SF even prior to gentrification. Now houses on Ramsell and Randolph selling for $700K to a million plus. Plus the weather hasn't ravaged houses in the hoods of Cali even when they are neglected. Houses in Detroit look so fukked up because of the extreme weather.

High COL in the DMV area is only because of the high paying gov't jobs and that trickle down money from associated businesses and professions. The DMV area has shytty weather, ugly antisocial people who are haters and boring drones from the Midwest who live to work. But the Bay is being gentrified by these same types of people.

And nikkas continue to leave SF every year because of high COL and gentrification. The black population of Lakeview will reach near 0% in the next 20 years and they are set to knock down the infamous jects on 200 Randolph sooner or later.
