to who? to you ? because I been palying it 4 times a day since its release and its the same thing for my homies

and its the gighest rated album of all time

nobody cares aabout your personal preferences (those preferences determine what has replay value for someone).
I feel the same way when someone says this album has no replay value. Like specify that it doesn't for you. It's not the same way for everyone.

I think an even 2 years first quarter 2017 can happen. I don't think Kendrick should wait another 2 1/2 to 3 years again but I don't see him rushing back to make a more commercial album either. Whatever direction he goes he'll take his time again.

Dude just dropped the highest rated metacritic album score in rap history and n1ggas talkin about how he needs a mix tape...

:mjlol:

When's the last time Nas, Jay-Z or Kanye dropped a mix tape? That's K Dots competition... Not Tyga and Big Sean..
Even Big Sean decided against making another mixtape and just focused on another album.

The result? Dark Sky Paradise.

If Kendrick decides to drop an album three years from now will people be checking for it? Will there be hype for it? The answer to those questions is yes so he doesn't need to speed up his album production process because his real fans will continue to buy his albums. He doesn't need to be an run of the mill artist that makes albums every year to stay relevant.

Putting out inferior music every few months just to "stay relevant" is one reason why many artists have no longevity these days. They have their flash in the pan then they're gone or everyone says they fell off because they ran out of shyt to do and say.

Exactly. Some bodies of work take longer than a year to complete. The mixtape trend is what got the fans so impatient now. Do I think he should wait another three years? No. But if he does take that long and he's working on something he feels confident in, then that's how it should be. Art doesn't have a set time when it should be out, and if it's great music, then people will check for it no matter what.

Good music is good music, so I don't see what people are talking about when they say nobody will check for him in three years. It's not like he's going to vanish off the face of the earth, there's still features, tours and award show performances. We're also forgetting that he DOES have an album with J. Cole coming soon too. He'll be fine.

Kendrick can wait another 3 years but I doubt he does and it has nothing to do with singles or lack of singles for this album. Those that were fans of his before TPAB shouldn't have been surprised by this album and that core will stay and only grow. You're always gonna have fans that buy one album and don't buy another.

It's not like we're gonna get the same album next time.

Put out a mixtape? LOL. Kendrick isn't some throwaway rapper who makes throwaway music. He's not for people with adhd who need a shytty mixtape every 3 months. He'll put out another critically acclaimed album in 2 years.
