no he doesn't need to... he just dropped one of the best albums of all time, in any musical genre. And its definitely one of my favorite albums.

like some jazz musicians are saying, the composition of this album is on a level we have never seen before

Not at all.

And yeah, I'm holding that against him because that means that you are NOT a real MC in my mind. I personally don't have respect for that.

He has his lane and I respect that. But he's not close to camel IMO and overall just doesn't impress me.
Freestyling is overrated. Making great music is goal.

You can be a real MC if you dont spit straight off the dome. Most of the "freestyling" we see anyway are writtens.

And did you not listen to what I posted? Theres is not denying Drake is an elite MC. What rapping ability is he lacking in?

The he "needs" to out out more music argument is null and void for the simple fact that Kendrick hasn't EVER really been that type of MC who needs to drop music consistently to stay relevant. GKMC dropped in 2012. Now in 2015 the follow up album is the biggest regarded ALBUM released so far this year. That's in ANY genre currently.

So far whatever blueprint he's following is working for him. If it ain't broke don't fix it.

Yes, Did you listen to the songs I posted?

Please tell what rapping ability Drake is lacking in?

Flows, Delivery, Voice, lyrics, concepts. Drake is above average in every category.

Plus, his hook and song making is God Tier

I'm expecting him to drop another project at the end of the year. I'm willing to bet on it.

And I think we might finally see that project wit J.Cole finally drop this year.

his next album should drop in 4th quarter 2016

all he needs to do in the meantime is maybe do a big remix of a song or two off TPAB..maybe get 3Stacks on a joint...pimp TPAB until it cant be. its a true gem so he can put out damn near any song as a single even if it isnt gonna get radio/club spins.

I agree...only Michael Jackson could wait 2 to three years before dropping a new album...and that honestly hurt his career too...but what do u do when the people of Bukarest wanna see u live:manny:.

Nah hip hop is in a dire position right now...and all of its main contributors need to be on a factory level of (quality)production and supply right now to keep the music dominant:ufdup:

My Pops Forever RIP
I think that's ridiculous to say given the fact that rock fans and pop fans come and go as well. If anything, outside of country, hip hop has allowed artists the most longevity in recent years. Second, it would be on Kendrick because if your last album did not garner their interest, why would they be excited about what you do three years from now if you basically disappear? There are other artists that are very talented. He's not some legend where he can disappear for that long and just drop and still be the top guy. You're acting like historically artists were not putting out music constantly. The general music audience may have a short attention span, but hip hop is no worse than any other genre besides country which operates in an entirely different world.
Rock and pop fans aren't demanding Taylor Swift mixtapes. Rock fans aren't saying "that AC/DC was aight, but put something else out" Kendrick puts out a highly acclaimed album, best first week numbers ever for him, still selling well, and we don't appreciate shyt and want him to put more shyt out.

We can't complain about the quality of music and then think classics get pumped out in months. Sometimes you need the artist to live life and actually have material to talk about. That's what Kendrick does. If it only takes a year or two to forget about you, then yes, we have really short attention spans. Did R&B replace D'Angelo? No. Did R&B replace Maxwell (and let's be real Maxwell was putting out crap before he went away)? No. Even pop acts will be given time to craft stuff if they were poppin before.
If we need artists to put music out at a Curren$y-like pace, we're never gonna be able to appreciate timeless shyt when we hear it.
