20 years ago the teams can trot us out there at the point and center while still competing. Back then the rules forced you to guard Shaq at the three point line if he was out there. Nowadays teams ignore you if you can't score and double the guys who can. It's why we don't get bigs who are the cornerstones of an offense in the low post anymore and why we won't see another Patrick or Kareem or Shaq type player who can change the game without good perimeter players to run the offense
