I was posting similar new models, and the Flex thing isn't exactly what Jay is doing right now? The only difference is Jay has more marketing power.
but don't they have to have it sitting in the back of best buy ahead of time? Doesn't it take time to get to the stores. Madden be in the back weeks before it's on the shelves according to best buy people.

With all this hype surrounding the album, this record better be unbelievably slamming.
It depends.
I use to work for Best Buy and depending on the demand for the album and how many copies per store they ordered, most albums show up in the store wharehouse 2-3 days BEFORE sale. This was the case for Jay-Z's Kingdom Come, Nas's Hip Hop IS Dead, and Kanye's Graduation....
HOWEVER on special occasions, to avoid leaks and breaking the street date an album can be direct shipped in as little as 24 hours before sale. I've seen this with Lil Wayne's Carter 3. The store ordered something like 700 copies (which is considered a lot) and we got them literally the evening before that Tuesday.
word. so the store can get it the night before.....
But Best Buy also has distribution centers, right? I just feel like the copies have been sitting somewhere for a couple of weeks and ain't rolling out of the record company a couple of days before release.
