I just came here and told y'all because... I didn't have anyone else

My mom is doing this mom thing where she's pretending to not care, but I don't have any siblings. Me, I'm mad cause he just gave up

I can imagine how you feel... but I wouldn't use the term give up... he fought for 6 years and has decided to let nature do its thing..... Ultimately its his choice..... doesn't make it easier to accept tho.... but I wouldn't waste the remaining time being pissed if I was you..... try to get the most out of what he has left

Some of my family wasn’t happy with it but it was ultimately her decision. She was of a sound mind so we all had to accept it. She passed away about a month after she made that choice.

Yeah... my Grandma didn't even attempt dialysis when she was supposed to... basically just said fukk it..... she lasted about 18 months tho...... tough lady.... miss her every day..... :mjcry:

I give up and I don't know what I was expecting because y'all don't know me... But thank you

You right breh, there’s no right answer. I’ve seen a lot of death over the years and I’ll see much more as my fam ages out.

I’ve learned that shyt ain’t like the movies where there’s “a good fight”, naw that shyt is treacherous and I don’t blame them for being ready to go :francis:

It’s better when they can make the choice themselves then you having to do it.

Sorry to hear this breh. It sounds like he's at peace so you don't look at like he gave up. You're going to want to remember the best of him. Prayers to you and your fam.

It's rough.

My mom's passed from renal failure the day before mothers day a little over a decade ago.

Did dialysis and all that. She never drank alcohol or did drugs in her entire life. Was never obese, (5'3 115) never had diabetes or none of that.

My girls Aunt is in ICU right now with right lung pneumonia and kidney failure. It's not covid, same thing happened last August.

shyts rough. It's not depression, he literally feels sick and like shyt everyday because there's toxins building up in his body, he's physically sick. Some days are better than others but it's still shyt.

Respect him, let him go on his terms. It sucks it ain't easy, but you could come home and find he cut his wrists or hung himself then you'd really be fukked up or worst case scenario he just unexpectedly goes. Take every moment and opportunity you have as a blessing.
