Impeachment requires a majority vote from the House, which is possible because the Democrats are in control.
Once a president gets impeached then it goes to trial in the Senate. For Trump to be removed you would need 2/3rds of the Senate to vote to convict.
Since Republicans hold the Senate that means you would need about 20 Republicans on board, which is very unlikely.

Anyway, yes it's true the Senate will not convict but this has to be done. The democrats have to do everything they can to hold him accountable, he's already operating like he's a dictator and with the backing of the GOP senate he pretty much can operate that way because they are doing nothing to stop it.

The problem with the impeachment is now it goes to the Senate which needs a 2/3 vote to get him removed but it's majority Republican. He'll get acquitted bc republicans won't vote against him.Noticed that the day it was announced, nobody on here nor my social media feeds talked about it

If he goes on trial and the Senate convicts. He is forced out of office, but can he still just run for POTUS if he wanted? Im surprised the Democrats want this, because a lot of stuff is going to be revealed I assume. At the end of the day its all theater.....
