Anyway, yes it's true the Senate will not convict but this has to be done. The democrats have to do everything they can to hold him accountable, he's already operating like he's a dictator and with the backing of the GOP senate he pretty much can operate that way because they are doing nothing to stop it.

The candidate has to appeal to independents and moderates in the rust belt. I'm not going to go into a long winded analysis because this isn't the subforum and thread for it but Trump can be beat in the states I previously mentioned if the candidate accomplishes what I said

That rarely ever happens. Once impeached his whole campaign would be finished; there's no coming back from that; especially with those charges. Having a corrupt man win reelection would ruin the public's trust of the voting system.

It depends on whether the Senate votes to remove him from the presidency while disqualifying him from holding future office. He can either just be impeached without barring him from a second term or altogether be impeached and stopped completely.

I highly doubt they'll allow him a chance for reelection which is why Republicans are trying to fight against this from happening.

They're not going to impeach him just for him to slide back into presidency on election day and even if he makes it to November there's a strong chance because of all this it'll affect him in the polls.
