I used to live in houston. it flooded there all the damn time:yeshrug:. At least once every year or two. Those nasty ass bayous would fill and spill into the streets :scust:. I remember there was a damn alligator swimming down my street one time. Also fireants would clump up into balls and ride the wave.

Looking at relocating to Htown, in fact my wife and I were just down there as I was trying to show her why I love the city so much and we had left back for DC on Memorial Day afternoon missing the floods :obama:. Great city, Number 2 city for business in the U.S., warm/hot weather, its own culture, and top-notch food, hell they even got palm trees :youngsabo:- and if you are single the women.... :ohlawd: keep hating on it if you want. I can deal with a flood every year or so. I was down there during Allison :merchant: . Hope the Coli Brehs and Brehettes down there are doing alright:salute:.

For those who want to move to Houston, be ready for the heat and humidity. Its one thing in Atlanta for example where its simply just hot. Its another thing for it to be over 100 degrees everyday in the summer and 90% humidity. You feel like you drowning.
I loved the city simply because it was a big city but that is one thing I do not miss. I went down there recently and I was :whew:@ that fukking heat.

I remember when I was a kid and we would go to the rodeo every summer at Astro Stadium and EVERY time I was guaranteed to see some one laid out on the floor like :dead: with paramedics and people standing around them because they passed out from heat exhaustion.

It was worse for Allison. The sun was out today, it was pretty :obama: Don't believe all of media sensation. Houston is huge there are a lot of dry areas like by my job :francis:

It is supposed to rain for the next 4 days so still kinda worried.

Allison was worse but I wasn't out in the middle of Allison and it didn't really effect my side of town too badly. This last shyt hovered over the city, more so the southwest side, for four or five hours. Then it stopped. And started again an hour or so later for another couple of hours. For once the media hype was on point. This shyt was bad. For a historical perspective take a look at this site. I vaguely remember the 1994 floods.
