I always thought the rule of 2 was stupid because it limited the number of Sith characters in the stories.
Also, I don’t understand how a billion dollar company makes a sequel trilogy, but doesn’t plan it out. Especially when they’ve known all along that they were going to continue the franchise beyond the sequel trilogy.

this is why star wars is not on the level of lord of the rings, or even harry potter....stories with ONE author and a clear vision from start to finish. Star wars was a grab bag of asspulls, hare brained ideas and power struggles between creative directors

Dooku rematch was more definitive but he went out even sadder than he had to because he was too late in taking Anakin seriously.
