Cell towers are supposed to be down too

I always recommend that people keep one of those walkie talkie style apps such as TikL, installed on their phones, in case of emergencies. They use phone data (satellites), rather than signal (local towers) to work.

In disasters, towers are guaranteed to either be overloaded or outright down for days.

Harlem via Brooklyn
It's heading on its way to Houston now I believe. I got family in Lafayette and Iberville that were sending me flicks of the neighbors house underwater. Not a peep of it in the mainstream media nor social media.

What's even crazier is the fact that in that video, the woman is driving a miata in those floodwaters. A fukking Miata :mindblown:

Makes me feel like there should be a disaster preparedness thread if there isn't one already.

It's pretty bad, it's a mini Katrina.

Some parts of the city perfectly fine others a disaster.

I'm with family now.

Keep the Important things in mind 1st people

Are the areas hit hardest considered the poor communities? Did the wealthy communities get hit?

Tornadoes in the midwest, earthquakes in California, snow storms up north, and hurricanes in the south

Where exactly are people supposed to live? :comeon:

:what:Are you trying to say there are not areas places countries to live where those things don't happen?
