Its cause Gen Y and Z ain't fukking with the wages and conditions, on top of the Baby Boomers retiring from nursing left and right.

Wage suppression need to be blasted and shamed like child molestation. Both corporations and the imported workers that dont understand worker unions need to be ripped apart.

nurses are making more money than ever now. they have more freedom to move as they see fit as well. its a bleak tiresome job during these medical times

That’s partly true but it’s also I would say mostly about cheap labor. They’ve been importing nurses from the Philippines for decades.

Hospitals are just poorly managed. You have non clinical staff with obscene salaries for minimal work whereas the clinical staff who actually work non-stop 12+ hour shifts get low balled and micromanaged.

They’ll pay a travel agency triple what the average nurse/CNA makes but would refuse to pay that nurse/CNA a small bonus to cover a shift.

It’s ironic that here in California nurses who refused vaccination lost their jobs. Medical workers paid price on front lines but still became public political pawns. It was very hurtful and crushed soul of those who still thought patients came first!

Never had a Filipina nurse.

Black/White nurses = usually decent to good.

Worst for me is Indian nurses. ZERO bedside manner and most can barely draw blood unless you're super pale with gigantic veins. Had one that spent like 20 minutes trying to draw blood....used every trick in the book and just threw up her hands. 40 year old white dude comes over and gets it done in 2 minutes tops.

Very true, Also covid changed things forever money wise and is not slowing down....

More and more nurses even with less than 2 yrs experience are doing travel nursing. Yeah sometimes the assignment sucks BUT with the base pay, travel stipend, food stipend + OT; A lot of nurses are making 5-7k A WEEK for 13 week contracts, especially in California because they are always going on strike.

So why would they stay in their own town for way less money and more politics + BS. You can't make that much locally.

It's no longer about effective patient care, the objective is to get paid because the hospitals have made it that way and have screwed up the healthcare system.
