Yall keep saying this but what's all this "work" that today's players have to do the players from past generations didnt?

Players today have better equipment(especially shoes), better training staffs, more comfortable travel, fewer back to back games, and the game is less physical than it has ever been in the history of the league.....and on top of that they make more money right now than any other players before them.

I been saying this these dudes can never answer the question. What the hell are these players doing that’s causing them to work so much harder than 80’s players

82 games wasn’t a problem in the 70s, 80s, 90s & early-mid 2000s.

nba lame as fukk if they cut down on games
To be fair no way were players in the 90's worked as hard. From training , flights to even the pace of play.
The physical toll on a player's body today is far, far greater than it was in the 70, 80s, 90s etc: more covering of distance / more running due to the 3-pt climate, more actions where you're having to cut at sharper angles, more lateral movement actions, greater athleticism to defend, greater skillsets to defend, more PnR play and less post-up possessions = players moving faster and more often.

Brah if you aren't a certified Physical Therapist, or kinesiologist , then don't try to make this argument. You sound like an idoit if you do.

Back then guys were not playing in tournaments every weekend of every summer since 10 years old
Kobe said a little while ago that he didn't play in a ton of basketball games as a child

pathetic.
This.

Yes, these are extremely gifted athletes.

But, the fans are the most important part because they after the consumer. When the league starts to think their shyt don't stick... The fans will notice and say "fukk this product"

I'm saying tho :pachaha:

I mean honestly, name a professional sports league that pampers its players more than the NBA right now :jbhmm:

Dont tell me the players of today have to do more "work". The league has never seen as many players stealing money as it does today.

How so? Everything you named is on the players. They don't have to run, and there were always fast-paced teams...defense is softer than ever....PnR has always been an offensive scheme, and there arent even real picks. Most offenses involve a player camping out around the perimeter, never moving from their spot...for a quick catch n shoot.

The ONLY thing I say is that dumb a$$ Euro step...it's a hard cut similar to Barry jukes, so it is hard on the knees. But is harder than the dribble dribble pull up? That's also a hard cut.

AAU ruined everything. Kids play way too much ball nowadays compared to the past. AAU kids play 3-5 games a day in the summer :dahell:

And in the layup lines they don’t just layup, it’s like a dunk contest. No wonder why ACL tears are so normal now

Shutup, moron.

I’m not really sold on AAU being the issue. Y’all nyggas really act like going around and playing in tournaments every weekend is something new. Nyggas have been doing this, you just didn’t have YouTube channels like ballislife or whatever showcasing it.

EXACTLY. I'm 35 and remember kids playing on traveling teams back when I was in High School.
