shorten the schedule :manny:

Stop saying shyt like this. This won’t fix the problem. If you don’t want to watch 82 games, dont watch.

If the nba season was 62 games, players would still find a way to play 42 and still want 82 games worth of money. You would still have silly dnp’s like this.

Yall keep saying this but what's all this "work" that today's players have to do the players from past generations didnt?

Players today have better equipment(especially shoes), better training staffs, more comfortable travel, fewer back to back games, and the game is less physical than it has ever been in the history of the league.....and on top of that they make more money right now than any other players before them.
Let's be real this is what it's about . You made it a point to bring money up for what?

I’m not really sold on AAU being the issue. Y’all nyggas really act like going around and playing in tournaments every weekend is something new. Nyggas have been doing this, you just didn’t have YouTube channels like ballislife or whatever showcasing it.
And if they weren't on traveling teams, people played on concrete all summer. Every kid who loves ball has done this. :dahell:

AAU ruined everything. Kids play way too much ball nowadays compared to the past. AAU kids play 3-5 games a day in the summer :dahell:

And in the layup lines they don’t just layup, it’s like a dunk contest. No wonder why ACL tears are so normal now

Not just that.... niccas (Due to the pressure from us fans) constantly push there bodies with insane training year in and out.

Back in the 80s and 90s guys wasn’t training like that. When the season was over they was done with basketball till training camps and preseason.

Now cats are immediately going back to the gym and weight room the minute their season is over and still go hard in the summer

"What our orthopedics are telling us," Silver says, "is they're seeing wear-and-tear issues in young players that they didn't used to see until players were much older."

What Silver could not have known was just how steeply injuries -- and especially injuries to young players -- would impact the NBA the very next season. In 2017-18, the number of NBA games lost to injury or illness surpassed the 5,000 mark for the first time since the league stopped using the injured reserve list prior to the 2005-06 campaign, per certified athletic trainer Jeff Stotts, who has cataloged the careers of more than 1,100 players since that point and is considered the most authoritative public resource for tracking injuries in the NBA. This past season, in 2018-19, the league topped the 5,000 mark again.

In 2017-18, players who had been named to multiple All-Star teams missed an average of 14.63 games due to injury, the second-highest such figure that Stotts had recorded. That figure jumped this past season to 17.02.

And according to Stotts' database, the four highest tallies of games missed by young players in their first two seasons have occurred in the past four seasons. Players picked in the 2014 first round missed 838 games to injury during their first two seasons, the highest figure Stotts has ever recorded; in 2015, 637, the third-highest tally; in 2016, there were 548 missed games; and in 2017, 751 games, the second-highest.

The question is why.

Through dozens of interviews over the past two years with NBA team and league officials, current and former players, AAU coaches, parents, youth players, researchers, medical and athletic training officials in and around the NBA, as well as those intimately involved with youth basketball, one possible answer repeatedly emerged: Players, they say, are physically broken down by the time they reach the NBA.

"It is grave," says one NBA general manager, who says his team's injury databases on players entering the draft, dating back decades, leave "no question" that there are more orthopedic issues among young players in recent years. "It's very sad, where a kid has an NBA body, he's got NBA talent, he's got even an NBA mentality, but he doesn't have a body that can withstand the rigors of the training and the actual games, whether it's to get to the NBA or just to hold up. It's a tough deal."

nikka do you work for the NBA? :dahell: You're pro league and anti fan as fukk.
fans don't know what they want. They're gonna keep doing this. Reducing the amount of games in a season is anti fan as fukk, but you don't see me vouching for that. This isn't just an NBA thing; they're just the latest to apply it. I'm not asking for Adam Silver to do anything, so how does that make me pro league? I just know what this will lead to, and it's basically gonna lead to the head coach having no say over what he wants to do. First it's this, then it's "this star must play in the 4th quarter. This player must play a minimum amount of minutes." Where does it end? Like I've said, there are healthy scratches every night. That happens.

Once Kawhi was able to do this and win a championship while doing so, you can't tell any player shyt. For a league where none of y'all fukk with owners or the upper execs in the NBA and are pro-player to the death, now the players do what they want and NOW y'all want the league to do something?

For a league y'all swear is the biggest and best in the world y'all make it seem like it's built out of a house of cards.

Like Porzingis is sitting out tonight too but the Mavs have designated to the league it's part of his injury recovery program . That is the same for Brandon Clarke as well tho less people care he ain't playing
I'm glad you pointed this out. Brandon Clarke is out but nobody's complaining. Who gets to decide who can and cannot play?

I keep telling people, but they think I’m crazy. Men are soft as hell in 2019 for many reasons and one of the biggest reasons is Vitamin (Hormone) D deficiency. Vitamin (Hormone) D is needed to strength bones, ligaments and tendons, stimulates testosterone production, down regulates estrogen production, increases immunity, increases wound healing, increase healing of skeletomuscular, helps shrink the prostate and improves digestive tract as whole and many more I cannot name at the moment. It’s a hormone.

Today in 2019, teenagers are getting old men injuries like ACL, MCL, Achilles and other due to a compromised hormonal issue.

The biggest cause of Vitamin D deficiency in America is processed foods and chemtrails/geoengineering.

Here is my thread on it,

https://www.thecoli.com/threads/geo...-never-consented-and-where-is-the-sun.726453/

A man in his 20 and 30s should be made out of STEEL, physical exertion should be effortless and injuries shouldn’t occur until mid-40s IMO.

Sit him the fukk down if he’s hurt. The load management shyt went from Spurs resting players in their mid 30s to get ready for the playoffs into sitting rookies two weeks into a season. Morant isn’t even playing 30 mins lol. That’s why ratings are flat and ticket sales are falling
