Don't waste your time,

They'll never understand that if you want changes in your community you fix it with your local government.

The president shouldn't have to step in to fix a small town in Missouri. Where is the Councilman/Mayor/Governor/Senator??????

These are the people CNN a should be paying attention to.

I wonder what the the voter turnout was for Ferguson. They want change? Start Locally.

My response is he is just another president but of course he has to be super negro in order to please people. That goes with anything in life from sports to corporate America. If you not a starting black qb,, your ass ain't gonna be in the league for long because you either great or terrible. No difference with Obama. The expectations put on that man are crazy and he gets credit for nothing from damn near anybody. The far right says he's too liberal and the liberals say he is too conservative. Kill Bin laden then it's bu bu but what about the drone strikes.

I see what you're doing here, and it is not working. Completely irrelevant to the topic at hand.

The only person in the Whitehouse who has the privilege of talking about Black injustice without being labeled a race baiter is a white guy. That's white privilege and it's shocking some of ya'll don't see that.

I don't waste my time going back and forth with weird stans of rappers, politicians, or sports figures. You guys have some of the goofiest arguments and rationalizations one can imagine. I'm older than you, for one thing. For another, regardless of where your father grew up, his support for Obama doesn't prove anything about the Civil Rights era or Obama's value as a President. For another thing, I've actually worked in Civil Rights, and testified in front of governmental commissions. I've stood in rooms and sat on panels with many leaders of the very Civil Rights era you're invoking. I can't possibly take you seriously about this.

Reminds me of when a poster went back and forth with me for pages about the truth about the college admissions process, the role wealth and privilege play, and how many admits were due to affirmative action. I worked in an admissions office at an elite university as a fukking Dean of admission for 4 years, yet this dude who had never even been near an admissions committee meeting nor even read an application was passionately debating me about my life experience. These "serious" online debates too often devolve into complete farce. I don't have the patience for that kind of thing anymore. If you think only stupid, younger, delusional black people dislike Obama and that his detractors are upset because he isn't 2Pac or whatever extreme cartoonish talking point is making the rounds to squelch criticism of him, so be it. Knock yourself out.

:salute:

the role wealth and privilege plays in all forms of society is some shyt that would make anybody just :wow:

Spot on about Obama in ur previous post. Obama's body language made it clear that he didn't want to even speak on Ferguson, but had to in order to avoid a "Katrina" moment

I don't know why dudes still argue with @Napoleon

His arguments are always some amalgamation of "the world isn't a nice place" or "you don't understand or know". No substance at all.

As for @Born2BKing his arguments are always about how powerless Obama is. What a dreamer.

Ive made at least 15 threads about this bum Obama.

None of his Stans can refute this statement yet :

Obama oversaw and ordered the killing of an American citizen without a trial, and later his 16 year old citizen son. Then bragged about it to the NYT.

This post was incredibly condescending and damn near offensive. For one, you do not know my credentials or history and my past experiences. Secondly, I'm sure the same civil rights leaders you met with are Obama supporters and I'll task you to prove me wrong. Thirdly, I know you have a reputation for being able to articulate very well, in which I will concede too but that is neither here or there. This is a discussion between brothers on a topic which is heavily debated, so if brothers on here don't have your "flawless" experience in these matters, it doesn't mean their opinions should be discounted.

Finally, I am going to give you a brief introduction to who I am. First and foremost, I am an educated black man with many years of corporate and government work experience. I have been in meetings with the governor of Georgia, I have been in a roundtable with the police chief of Atlanta and Clayton County. I was working closely with the CEO of Dekalb County. I ran an ex-offender program for Dekalb county, which consisted of 99% african americans who were looking to transition back into society. Yes I opened my home to some of them, yes I met with them on a weekly basis to assure they were ok, yes I worked with the governors office of workforce development, yes I built alliances with local organizations to provide resources to them, yes I spoke with the director of public safety in Dekalb county on their behalf.

I say all of this to say, do not turn your nose up at me and I do not give a fukk how articulate you are or how many people on this website ride your dikk. I have done what I can for the advancement of OUR PEOPLE. Have a good day.

Good post. Keep doing your thing.
