Yeah...but in hindsight that this was the story told from the brain of a white dude and how it clearly bashed the African American male ...it's no wonder oprah and cac males have kicked it off so wonderfully in these days and times. You're right...visually it's stunning, acting is incredible...high quality stuff. Still, this shyt is blatant black man hating bs created by cacs distributed by cacs and eventually ignores at award ceremony by cacs (further giving the finger blatantly at blacks and black actors)...the only thing purple about black folks is royalty...not that fukk shyt:camby:(anytime you want to stifle a persons progress you remind them of who they were and from where they came...that was the agenda of this movie...fuk them hollyhood cacs)
shyt is realistic and that's all that matters.
nikkas really want media to pretend abuse doesn't exist on a grand scale in our community.

Tyler got paper etc...but cats forgetting Oprah is most powerful person in tv.She could get ratings regardless
Oprah is nowhere near the powerful person in tv.
Nowhere close.
Leslie Moonves, Roger Ailes, Bob Greenblatt, Ben Sherwood, Philippe Dauman, David Zaslav (Oprah's boss), and a few others are tv power makers. Oprah is nowhere close to that.

What other books did they take of alice walker's and make into a Hollywood (unrewarded) classic...oh just the one where she tells of the evils of the black male...convenient:francis:

It being realistic isn't all that matters...when the ones tellin the story are the major component to why conditions where as they were at the time. It's not about abuse being in our community...it is and should be recognized and dealt with...but this is about the convenient expose' of the black male during a period of his (as well as the black woman's) horrible suffering and indignation...all while skimming into the reasons for all of the factors that played a role...and all this being told cinematically from a white males position...da fukk. Nah I ain't with that. Why don't they create a cinematic classic that highlights the spousal abuse of white males at some point in history...cuz I'm sure a lot of white women have these stories too. I'm not saying ignore abuse...I'm saying don't tell the story of a house burning down when you supplied the gasoline and struck and threw the match.

Yea...she panicked cuz that network struggled outta the gate so she settled on low ball film making...now she wants her usual Oprah sophistication and Perry doesn't do that, she should have watched them bunk ass TBS and BET shows he's got in sindication...oh my bad, she did and liked that bullshyt:mjlol:

This... she needed that Madea stimulus package for some fast ratings/money, and now since she's somewhat stable, she's trying to revamp Tyler's product so it'll be palatable to a more citified audience...... she doesn't want to be known as that channel with mostly low brow material.....
