Sadly, too little too late. Pharell has had his black card cut in half.

I'll still listen to his music, but he played himself on Oprah and it lost him his black fans at the end of the day cause he revealed how disconnected he was from years of success from the actual black experience in America.

I don't think he cares anymore though. Just don't do stupid shyt like make songs for kiddie Disney movies and then do songs like "move that dope" and try to act "street" (as if ghetto = black or thinking that's the only way you can speak to us). It's fake as fukk and reeks of trying too hard to "keep it real" so the black folk will still rock to you. But that's insulting considering he so removed from that life and assuming as if we all dumb and just stereotypical. Coming off like some hypocrtical ass Taye Diggs in Malibu's Most Wanted ass nikka playing street and being black when it's convienient (when it's time to make money).

@The Nigerian was doing the same thing with Mollywatr...only use black people when you want that "cred" and "validation" while forgetting you black 24/7/365 a year. I'll c00n it up for white folks when it's time to play it safe for the soccer moms and yoga yuppie women that shop at zara and eat frozen yogurt and then dumb it down for black folks and keep it "ratchet" and "hood" and "ghetto" and "street". Nah...you pick one or the other. Trying to do it all as a black man...as trying as it is and as very few can pull it off that have reached that level of fame..you bound to slip up and everything about you will come out into the open and black folks will criticize you for it.

I think he got his nikka wake-up call....sad it had to happen when this dude is almost f*cking 40. I wish I could of had THAT charmed of a life.

The fact there is a "Race Track" on here honestly shows that this site has a largely non-black following and that's to make sure that those threads are tucked away in a safe dark corner in order not to threaten their sensibilities when they appear in a bigger forum.

What progress was ever made by people keeping themselves silent? I'm pretty sure they would like to make sure those conversations are never brought up cause they never have to deal with the shyt. Ol' Morgan Freeman ass "don't talk about race and racism and it will go away" ass nikkas.

My 2 cents though

The creation of the race track had a lot more to do with TLR being flooded with racial threads that were either largely unproductive or baiting, or just plain insulting towards black people (or other races). If you'll notice, relevant, thought provoking threads on race tend to stay up much longer, than irrelevant stupid ones. I dont think "the race track" was invented because mods had an aversion to race topics, just that TLR kinda lost its privileges.
