this is true unfortunately.

But what happened is, at one point R&B acts were making alot of money....but they wanted MORE so they started collabing with rappers & singing typical rap beats. And it got out of hand and there's no turning back on a mainstream level. If they had stayed the course, there would've always been some sort of mainstream representation of R&B.








white artists can still sing R&B style ballads though and it's appreciated.

R&B is far from dead, stop listening to top 40 Rap/R&B stations and tune in to Black adult contemporary stations, and you will hear ACTUAL R&B.

These threads are always funny to me, because it's exposes who only listens to rap stations.

Of course if you only listen to radio stations geared toward people under the age of 25 you're not going to hear traditional R&B.

Im still puzzled to how Tiller got put on in the first place. There's dozens and dozens of other soundcloud nonsingers "singing" over generic beats they got from Youtube after searching Drake Type Beat that sound just like him.

I listened to his Trapsoul album from start to finish and It just about put me to sleep. If this is what bytches these days are getting wet over then they must nut every time they take Nyquil.
