It's not even purely a black/white thing with Gronk because I can't think of another white athlete who gets received the same way for being a 100% meathead/jock. He was filmed partying after a Super Bowl loss and still had a ton of capes flapping. Kinda wild

You make great points. Gronk is basically a White c00n. Not c00n in the since of betraying his race. But a c00n in the classic since of, being a mistraly caricature of his people and a big joke and making his race look bad.

The privilege comes in, where his meatheadedness and buffoonery will not reflect poorly on White athletes in general. Part of me agrees with you, especially on the JJ Watt thing. White people have turned on JJ, because they feel he's being cheesy and or phony with his Captain America steeze. But the fact that Black players character issues get pushed to the forefront because of the most mundane things, and Gronk's out here just doing god knows what to women, and is open about it, is just.....I don't know....
