I have had this discussion before. There was a story that was last year I think. A black photographer was at a park taking some test shots. In the background was a kids soccer match going on. A mother ( she was somebody either famous or semi-famous) confronted him about filming children and started going off calling him a pedo and other stuff.

There were discussions on both sides. At the end of the day there is nothing illegal about it. It is called public photography. If you are in public there is no expectation of privacy. For adults, kids, grandmothers etc. If kids are in a public park and some guy is sitting in his car taking photos he is allowed to do that LEGALLY.

Now would I expect a father or parent to confront that person if they felt it as out of bounds. Sure. But if the cops are called he is not breaking the law. So its not my opinion. It is the law on the books.
So if breh is out her taking pictures of childs butts like they the do women's there is no law against that? Pretty sure there is. But I see your logic.

Brooklyn keeps on taking it.
One thing I’ve noticed women have no problem taking photos of people with strange outfits or anything they find funny. Which is also being creepy. Some guy had on tight ass pants at this store and this chick took a photo of him on the sly and uploaded it on her Instagram for likes and laughs. Is that not being creepy as well? I saw her do it and just :usure:.

that is creepy and obnoxious

Doesn't surprise me that there are people who think this is OK. :comeon: 4**** have daily creep threads where they take pictures of unsuspecting women and post them, even underage girls. People have done the same thing on this board. Granted, you get negged to Bolivia if you talk about a woman and don't provide pics.

Take feelings out of it. Your in public. Kids or adults. And somebody has a camera. There is nothing illegal about that. If it was illegal then you would see signs at a park saying no taking pics of kids. Makes sense right. The reason you don’t see those signs is because it’s not illegal.

don’t believe me? Look it up and tag me :yeshrug: Maybe I’m wrong. I don’t think I am.

If it was illegal to take pics of anyone who did not consent to it in public then paparazzi would not exist

Edit:

As a general rule, if a photographer is shooting from a public space, such as a street or a park, he or she will usually have the right to do so without the consent of the subjects. Generally speaking, if you can see it from a public space, you can take a picture of it.

If I was a parent and saw someone filming my kid yeah their will be a discussion. In the eyes of the law tho if the person is in public and they are filming someone in public they are free to do so.

I hear what you are saying but still comes off as rationalizing disturbing behavior.

whether it’s legal or not isn’t really the point, it’s the intent and behavior behind it that makes it an issue.

to rationalize the legality of filming and taking pics of little kids in public is also not a hill worth dying on. :scust:

I’m not co-signing anything. I’m saying let’s be clear about it. It’s not even a hill to die on for me. It’s what it actually is

Whether it’s legal or not is absolutely the point. A parent or guardian has to know in a case where your child is possibly being filmed what your options are.
Confront them is your right as a parent. I fully respect and expect it. But you have to know and expect that it will be a you vs that person situation. Not you and the law vs that person.

Two completely different dynamics.

NY all day..Da Stead & BK..
Just look at the juelzing above. Apparently if it isn't illegal it's totally acceptable for public consumption.
I don’t think dude was trying to say that. He’s saying morally it’s wrong as fukk. But it’s not much legally she can do to him. So it would be a hard case to fight if taken to court.
