Yeah, but a too close relationship between Russia and Turkey might also be dangerous Kurds. They've been abandoned many times. Radicals factions may be afraid that the deal will include Russia leaving them to Erdogan. At this point, they are among the potential suspect. Let's see.
:yeshrug: Easiest way to do that is kill a Russian diplomat by an obvious Kurdish assassin

Putin gonna have Erdogan upfront pivot over to Russia's side. :pachaha:
:manny: This shyt is too easy for Putin and he doesn't even give a fukk.

Erdogan is going to be the Russians and Iranians bytch boy and to top it off he made NATO weary of supporting him with his autocratic behavior

Putin with the geopolitical finesse game on Jordan level

Yeah, but a too close relationship between Russia and Turkey might also be dangerous for the Kurds. They've been abandoned many times. They still remember it. Radicals factions may be afraid that the deal will include Russia leaving them in the hands of Erdogan. They have an historical chance to finally have their country. So they might get nervous. At this point, they are among the potential suspect. Let's see.

Attack on Russian Ambassador probably more likely to bolster Moscow and Ankara's burgeoning alliance. They've bolstered ties with trade, the Turkish stream gas project, nuclear power plants... Syria is their only real divergence but they've compartmentalized that.

Many suspects : Obama, Saudis/Qatari, rogue turkish agents, high level private interests involved in the gas industry, etc.

I don't see it being any national actors :patrice:

It's too sloppy and literally accomplishes nothing. I don't think the Saudis/Qataris would risk something like that being traced back to them. In fact their security services have never even been known to carry out work abroad. Infiltrating islamic groups is as far their capabilities go lol.

Most likely frustrated rebel sympathisers. Turkey hosts a lot of Syrian refugees.

It can be anyone. This is a high level game. And national actor don't ac directly, they'll use proxies or useful idiots. You just fuel some rebels sympathizers with intel and money, they will do it.

Also, don't forget the Saudis were financing jihadist in Russia during the Daguestan war.

This event is going to weaken Erdogan even more, when he is already weak at the national level. A weaker Erdogan can be taken out easily and replaced by more anti-russians authorities. And Lord knows the anti-russian feeling is prevalent in Turkey.

Putin already have a weak Erdogan; a weaker Erdogan is not in Putin's interest.

Also, this assassination may put Putin in a weird situation back home : he already let the l-killing of the pilot go, now this. It will be hard for him to justify the reinforcement of his ties with Turkey when Turkey is humiliating Russia by killing its soldiers and officials.
