So Stephen Curry is rated the 4th best point guard of all time?

cousy gets its worse. ppl feel like since cousy is a relic of a past time, he doesn't need the nod. meanwhile there was nothing even CLOSE to him when he played and he took ballhandling to a level it had never been before. some of the shyt he did back then STILL makes your jaw drop.

he was a league MVP too.
Yep

Ppl look at cousy and see a cac and dismiss his greatness but dude won mvp and was a 6 time champ

curry hasn't done enough to be top 5. breh got a ring but he played like shyt most of the finals. if he gets mvp and finals mvp this year them maybe he deserves it. it's a little premature as of now though.

Curry

Already accomplished

- Greatest shooter of all time.
- One of 3 (someone double check for me) point guards to be both MVP and Champion in a season.
- Beat the teams of the entire 1st team All-NBA last year.
- Was clearly the reason the Warriors won in the finals.
- Highest +/- in a season proportionate to minutes played.

About to accomplish

- Poised to average 30 PPG in a season as a point guard and become scoring leader.
- Poised for a 70+ winning season
- Poised to be 2-time MVP
- Poised to have best PER a point guard has ever had.

Sleep on some of these stats if you want but all of this is top 2 PG status already.

I can see it, only Magic Curry and Isiah are the only point guards that won a championship being the best player/PG lead team

great player, no doubt about it. one of the best of all time. a legend, a hall of famer.

BUT....

he played with another top tier all star basically his entire career and came away with 0 championships. kind of hard to put him over a guy like zeke who was the alpha dog on a championship squad 2 years in a row.
You can say the same about Magic, he played with HOFers his WHOLE CAREER

Chris Paul is top 5 and better than John Stockton.

Also, honestly, I don't know where to rank Steph yet. I think he needs more longevity for me to properly place him.

And Zeke is top 3, after Big O and Magic.

This^^^ people are still not realizing Stockton had so much help
1) Top 3 power forward ( Malone)
2) Top 5 coach ( Sloan)
3) Every point guard does well under Sloan's system.

I already did this a few weeks ago with some friends/family. We can go through the numbers per game, shooting %s, advanced stats, the accomplishments, and the skill sets if you want. Chris Paul is the better player.

Chris Paul does just about everything better than Stockton and never played with anyone near the level of Malone, who was a crutch for his entire career. Not to mention have the benefit of playing in the Jerry Sloan system his whole career.

Yea a little premature but the PG position isn't exactly that stacked as far as Legends go :yeshrug:

He keeps up his current pace, he'll be considered up there pretty easily imo
