Austin only wrestled ppvs in summer 1999 due to hurting so bad before leaving, so he essentially missed a year and a half. The Rock in 2000 was bigger than any wrestler in the history of wrestling. Superstar pops in front of sellouts everywhere across the board. WWE had its biggest year ever. Vince was an actual billionaire. How come it got bigger when Rock replaced Austin but once HHH took over for Austin, the ride was over?

See but I don't deny that Rock has his time as being the man. I also don't deny he carried the ball very well. The attitute era in 2000 was the climax, wcw was done for and everybody switched back to the E. The ride was not over when HHH took over, the company was going through changes. We went from Attitude to Ruthless aggression to PG to Fukkery era. Thats a Vince change, not a personnel change breh.

They had a match for Storm's contract post Survivor Series 01 and all he did was eat offense. It wasnt about NEEDING carrying. But Rock was the only one doing any work in that match. And when was Storm a consistently good wrestler? He has no classics..no stand out matches..basically a nobody in history except for that training school. Good in the ring but seen by what? 25k crowds when Rock or Austin weren't there to pack em up....no one here has EVER brought up Storm as some all time great workers. We laugh at Austin burying him more than mention his matches. Beth Phoenix meant more than him. Sad.

Says the guy with nothing to say. LOL@Foley being the Attitude Era MVP. He was the sucker of the Attitude Era but that's about it. He's lucky Taker kept putting him over to build him up like he did. Cripple H acts like Foley didn't do shyt for him. He never gives him true props. Sad. The Rock's mic work was getting cheered and lauded during their entire feud and every match they had on PPV had some division of Rocky chants. They never chose him over Austin. He was a stuntman that got over well after being a patsy at Survivor Series 98. That's about it. Became a good sidekick for the Rock during the fall of 99 too. That made him look bigger than he really was.
