So he was going for that Ric Flair/HBK farewell last night and basically got booed and told to get the fukk out of the ring and retire? :laff:

Yep, there's usually a debate about crowd reactions but there was a clear and lengthy chant of "U TAPPED OUT" followed by boos, then cheers as the show closed...

When did Macho have a cartoon?

And the ice cream bars? It was the WWF bars- Magnificent Muraco had one too... that doesn't count. :pachaha:

That said, I'd put Michaels and Savage in the same category. I will say Savage is probably much more recognizable, but he was ""Mr. WrestleMania" before Michaels. He was the one who was always counted on for the great Mania match, and he delivered that most of the time. It never seemed like they gave him the ball to run with tho'. Even when he got the title, Savage was never given a shot to headline anything on his own. He def. deserved it though, just had the misfortune of being around in the era of Hogan, where everybody was second fiddle. Only Warrior got that true chance to be #1, and well... guess you can say it happened to the wrong guy.

Hulk Hogan, Macho, Lou Albano..they were all on that cartoon show in the 80s. The WWF cartoon that came on Sat mornings.

Michaels had MOTY with Jannety in 93 and good matches with perfect also.

The Marty Janettey match? Him and Michaels were unover as fukk during that shyt. NO ONE EVER, EVER brings that nonsense up. Why would they? It was between two nothing happening midcarders who were disconnected from the pro wrestling audience. Michaels was basically lost at sea in 1993.

Macho was never on that cartoon. The characters on that were Hogan, Albano, JYD, Andre, Wendi Richter, Piper, Sheik, Nikolai Volkoff, Moolah, Snuka, Mean Gene, Big John Studd, Hillbilly Jim, Santana, and Mr. Fuji.

He wasn't? WHAT? I could of SWORE that nygga was on that. Damn!

Yeah, they had started the cartoon when he was just coming in to the WWF. And Snuka had left right before it debuted. But the way the cartoon was, it wasn't like they could change anything. They kept the same characters for the whole year-and-a-half it was on. They never added any different characters or took anyone out.

Woulda been comical to hear someone try to do Macho's voice tho' :pachaha:

Macho was great, but Shawn is the best in-ring performer EVER. And he did it for the longest time, where as Macho had maybe 6 years where he really shined.

Just ask Austin, Vince, Jericho and the rest of them and they`ll tell you Shawn is the GOAT in-ring performer.

What about Brett Hart? Isn't he considered as good if not better than HBK?

Austin always says his two favorite matches are the Bret Hart one at WM 13 and the one with Rock at WM 17. He puts over Bret/Steamboat/Hickenbottom as workers though. He's always said that.

Cosign, the Sting/Vader strap match was much better and more significant.

HBK is not a second level star, that would put him on the level of Undertaker or Goldberg. Kevin Nash in 1998 legitimately drew money and was more significant to the business than HBK ever was, and most would not put him on the level right below Autin/Hogan/Rock.

It's impossible for Michaels to ever be the GOAT because he just wasn't good enough when it counted. When it was time for him to lead and take the helm, he failed. Period. NOTHING will ever change that. Fans chose Austin over him when it counted which put all of the wants and desires of him being the greatest anything out of the realm of possibility. It's just an internet fan thing...did he ever carry anything from front to back like Flair, Hogan, Rock, Austin, Macho? Never. Not once. They tried in 1996 but that was a complete blunder that proved OUTRIGHT that he was secondary to Hogan, Sting, Hall, and Nash.
