Name me one business venture that he has successfully engaged in that he owned majority stake in that took off? I didn't say anything about being completely independent of the white man but Jay Z is obviously on the other end of the spectrum and panders to them. I don't see Diddy pandering, P in his prime didn't pander, Black megachurch pastors nikkas don't pander, Oprah ain't pander, Tyler Perry didn't pander. It's possible. He's the majority owner of Roc-Nation, together with his cohorts Dame and Biggs they were 51% owners of Roc-a-fella, he was the majority owner of Roc-a-wear after he bought out Dame/Biggs and then it grew exponentially and later sold it, he's the majority owner of 40/40 2 NY locations.. Most importantly he owns his masters, his own company and his distribution rights.
I still don't see what that has to do with anything, Bill Gates is not the majority owner of Microsoft but he's still the richest man on the planet.
He owns enough to have a say, which is what's important. His portfolio of investments is extremely diverse, he's focused on being involved in multiple businesses instead of betting everything on one horse, word to Buffet. You don't need b-school to know the perks of diversifying your portfolio.
