They win the u-21 euros and two days later the confederations cup with the b team. A few of those b team guys could have played on the u-21 team. Germany has always been great, but now they're a machine.

this article talks about how they revamped their youth system after the 2000 euros and are now seeing the fruits of their labor.

Germany has spent almost $700 million on youth development since 2000. The USA needs to try and emulate this system. But our dumbasses want to have our kids play ayso, drink capri suns an eat grapes at halftime, and send them to college. When the USA hired Klinsmann a few years ago we should have hired German youth coaches instead.

I don't know either. I'm not gonna front like I'm some soccer expert, but some things are obvious. German clubs, as well as the rest of the world invest in their youth. I don't know if the USA and MLS will ever implement the euro system as far as paying kids.

i always heard Klinsmann spearheaded the current German football generations and was trying to develop that culture here but had trouble getting people to embrace it

I'm sure he has, but you know how our culture is. When I turn on ESPN/Fox and hear talking heads speak about we should not pay college basketball and football players I lose hope in the idea of us ever embracing a legitimate youth system.
