The Knicks were projected to be one of the worst teams in the league this year and ended up overachieving for the first couple of months.

Now they’re coming back down to earth but I don’t see the reason to clown them. They’re still better than they’re supposed to be.

No one expected the Knicks to be good this year. In fact, most Knicks fans said specifically when the team was over .500 that they would eventually hit a wall and come back down to earth once they started having more road games, just like they did last year when they had a good start then started losing again. Team is still in rebuild mode but they made it fun at the start of the season

Even when they are shyt they are still the highest grossing team in the league. I’m surprised no bigger stars want to go there considering how much more money you will make there due to exposure. But we are in the super team era so :yeshrug:. A star athlete will make the most money in ny

The days of needing exposure because of a big market like NYC is long gone.

Some of the most popular players in the league have played in small markets i.e Durant, Westbrook, Dame, Greek Freak.

All their endorsements would be bigger on the Knicks. These guys just want to win though. They ain’t trying to really cash in. Endorsements are way better in nyc than Oklahoma.

It really doesn’t make much of a difference in 2018 outside of maybe sneaker deal kickers. NYC has more endorsement options but it’s not as if there’s NY athletes right now outside of Porzingis who are aided by the fact that they’re in NY.
