So the Lakers have yet to open negotiations on a new deal w/ Kobe Bryant?

stop what? look at the numbers my brotha

Player A 27 points, 6, rebounds, 6 dimes, 1.5 steals, 46% from 2, 32% from 3, 84% at the stripe - 39 minutes per game

Player B 26 points, 5 rebounds, 6 dimes, 2.0 steals, 44% from 2, 37% from 3, 85% at the stripe - 38 minutes a game

Player C 21 points, 5 rebounds, 5 assist, 2.0 steals, 52% from 2, 26% from 3, 72% at the stripe - 35 minutes a game

how is this not similiar considering player c plays roughly 3 less MPG than the other 2 and doesn't get the scoring opportunities the other 2 have

You said BETTER PRODUCTION too. Who on that list had better production than Kobe last year? Must you ALWAYS exaggerate? Just make your point (which was going good until this) and move on.

Depends on how he plays. He isn't going to be the same player he was before the injury. And he definitely shouldn't be playing more than 33 minutes or so a game.

Thing is I know the lakers will pay the tax but how far over are they willing to go?
They have his rights so they can always sign other free agents first then sign him last to go over the cap but theyll have to pay the heavy tax.

Then its how much are they going to pay him? If he comes back without missing a step, hes still kobe and as valuable to the lakers off as he is on the court.

Lakers have the money to pay him and go over but are they willing to is the question.
Not how it works. Kobe has a $30 million dollar cap hold at least to prevent just that from happening. So to have max cap room they would have to renounce Kobe's rights which means they would lose Bird rights to go over the cap to resign him.

If Kobe wants rings he needs to resign for $10 million a year or so.

the production is literally the same across the board from all 3 players. kobe isn't leading in every stat is he? So it's comparable

You're right. I forgot to figure in his cap hold.

Very comparable. I explained my stance, no one's production was BETTER as you stated.
