When people refer to East Africans they’re normally speaking of Somalis, Ethiopians and Eritreans
yeah and it's stupid

the most prominent country in East Africa is not any of those It's Kenya. This is a western imposed point of view. Many Bantu and Nilotic people in East African countries have no separated view of West Africans.

we would call them Cushytes not East Africans. whatever friction they have is cultural not regional...

As usual, Americans think they're the source of everything. :bryan:

"Diaspora war" spoon-feeding is OG UK and French tactics since the late 70s. Like a few other things, it's just being picked up in the US more recently to try swaying minds here.

And it will fail just the same way it did over there.

Thread is a troll thread to instigate drama.

Spot on. United we stand, divided we fall.

I think it was that movie HoneyTrap but I saw this british movie where some of the black characters were calling other black characters "Aff" for like half the movie. I thought it was just another version of bruv or something but apparently it was an insult against Africans :dead:

Ofc it was deadly, everywhere both groups go they cause bare fukkery :dead:

Fundamentally tho we have a lot more in common with West Africans, its just Caribbean people being a lil ignorant and West Africans being snobbish that keeps the small divide going.

We dont really have much in common with East Africans, I reckon one day when Black people and Black British culture becomes stronger, it will matter even less.

When you say East African, what do you mean? Horners? Somalis?

East Africa is a much larger region and includes Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda etc.

Black people love dividing themselves in every conceivable way. Meanwhile white people of all types will form like Megatron to oppress all you nikkas. :francis:

this

no matter how divided white people might get, they unify when it comes to killing and oppressing Black people. Glad I'm not the only one who sees this

Other brehs have already mentioned it, but the so called beef between Africans and Caribbeans died out a long time ago. You tell any young folks now about some "diaspora war" between the two, they wouldn't even know what the hell you're talking about.

I don't see how opening up old wounds helps either.

Basically like two different wars. This was more so accepted in the 80s-2000s

You had Caribbean vs West Africans then Caribbean & West African against East Africans/Somalis.

Nowadays, Caribbean and West Africans are much closer as the power balance has shifted culturally a bit, long way to go with East Africans though :pachaha:

Most of that shyt was teenage bullying and ignorance really. Now that shyt is more frowned upon like being openly colourist, you still get stereotypes and people arent accepted into peoples families etc but that will probably change going forward.
This was a thing in the 90s and early 00s in London not now

:ehh:

good to hear :salute:
