Damn shame but I’m sorry, it’s Iverson “mall”

If you live in the DMV, you already know what this is…that “mall” ain’t nothing but some cheap azz stores, basically a plaza…

But this is how things go in Temple Hills…my realtor tried to show me houses around there when I was buying…I gave her azz the stale face and said nothing…needless to say, she looked elsewhere lmbo…

Personally I'd buy there. Gentrification is coming. You can get into and out of DC relatively quickly. Penn Ave Traffic can be bad but better than going to No Va.

They have the base around there so they have an incintive to clean up the place.

I was just thinking about that and you posted it.

The ill thing is how somehow the elites managed to homogenize Black Culture. There was a time when you could tell where a nikka was from just the way he dressed. I never really saw no one wear 996 New balances other than DC nikkas. It wasn't zero nikkas that wore 8 ball jackets but that was mainly a Harlem thing.

Jamaican nikkas wore clarks and way back in the day corderoy pants and turtle necks.

nikkas had their own style and what was in in a city changed over time now everyone listens to the same music, everyone wears the same things every says the same slang it's corny.

But stores like Macy's can make a killing because now they sell everything to everybody. I remember when Macy's was strictly upper middle class now they sell high end and low end shyt. It's like they're Sears and Nordstrom's in one.
And we were proud of that shyt too!

I was shocked when I saw those new townhouses and apartments they built right down the street from suitland metro station on silver hill road. They tore down that whole shopping center. That whole area is going to be slowly gentrified like you said it’s right there on Pennsylvania Avenue. 15 mins and you’re in downtown DC.

Apartments right next to branch avenue station are already $2000 for an efficiency.

Black men and women and children dying at way higher numbers but you want to be able to feel superior by saying "....at least we don't do 'mass shootings'". Maybe if the government did consider these mass shootings of Americans instead of boring old "black on black" crime, then it would actual get funding and attention.

But instead you want to nation to mourn and pay attention when whites get killed, but keep looking away from this because it was just some "street nikka shyt".

nikka miss me with that AllLivesMatter homotional bullshyt. You must be new around here.

I was just in bmore the other day around the harbor. There was hundreds of kids running around. I mean they completely took over I never seen that many kids in my life.

The worst mall by far is st Charles. Nothing but kids running around and all the good stores left.

I haven’t been to St. Charles since pre-pandemic so Idk what it’s condition is like right now but even before that, I’ve noticed a growing increase in youth congregating and scheming around there. That shyt’s been going on since the late 2000’s but it seems to have gotten a lil worse over the years. I remember when St. Charles Mall started seeing a sharp uptick in robberies, phone theft, fights, and car jackings in the parking lot from 2009 to 2012….The movie theater started experiencing fukkery from my peers at the time too. It had gotten so bad back then that the mall had to get serious security and, for a while, enforced a No Hoodie policy.

One of my best friends use to live within walking distance of that mall, when he was still able to get around. He's the only one I knew that still messed with that mall.

I use to pass Iverson Mall a lot when I was a member of "From The Heart Church Ministries", when the late Pastor John Cherry Sr. was the head pastor. Then they lost that church after a lengthy court battle, and relocated in Camp Springs. Anyway, I use to drive right past Iverson Mall to get to their old church. It was within walking distance of the mall as well. I began falling out with that church, but I had no where else to go. Once I moved away, that finally broke me loose from there. But I digress

I understand this happened Friday. I haven't hear about it yet. But I haven't talked to anybody from home in going on two weeks.
Pastor John Cherry Sr. :salute:

That’s all she wrote, the pencil broke
