Yeah I remember when Da Dirty ‘Dorf used to be way more country than it is today, it’s a lot more build-up now and a lot more Blacker too. Growing up in PG, I always appreciated how rural much of Charles County was in comparison and always got excited seeing the horse farms on the way to Chuck E. Cheese. It was a nice change of scenery while living in District Heights and Walker Mill, felt like an actual road trip back then lol Life was so much more simple.

DC/PG/MoCo folks stay joanin on Waldorf tho lol, always saying it’s a whole plane ride and a layover transfer away That’s prolly why ‘Dorf and Indian Head nikkas got a chip on their shoulder when it comes to the rest of the DMV. Can’t say I blame them, they always been catching strays outta nowhere. I always stayed away from Iverson because it looked hella dinghy not to mention the hood n-gga's that were there.

PG Plaza, Iverson and Mondawmin... all hood malls to steer clear of for the most part. PG Plaza is okay if you grabbing something and leaving, it’s not the mall to hang out and flex your better fits at. I only been to Iverson once and it’s arguably the most hood mall in Maryland. But hella hood nikkas slide through Columbia, Towson, Arundel Mills etc. because there are no chill mall spots in Baltimore or PG. Nobody wants to go the mall and see nothing but nikkas who look angry, broke and plotting on you. But most hood nikkas is on some chill shyt when they out they jurisdiction in suburbia. The problem is nowadays, this type of fukk shyt happens erywhere because young boys and grown ass men with 19 year old mentalities even in the suburbs are brainwashed into thinking they are tough by rap music and social media and they think life is a video game and are just begging to get locked up or shot themselves by someone else who don’t give a fukk.

When I lived in the DMV I stayed in Suitland for years and still never went to Iverson Mall until I REALLY had too

One of my best friends use to live within walking distance of that mall, when he was still able to get around. He's the only one I knew that still messed with that mall.

I use to pass Iverson Mall a lot when I was a member of "From The Heart Church Ministries", when the late Pastor John Cherry Sr. was the head pastor. Then they lost that church after a lengthy court battle, and relocated in Camp Springs. Anyway, I use to drive right past Iverson Mall to get to their old church. It was within walking distance of the mall as well. I began falling out with that church, but I had no where else to go. Once I moved away, that finally broke me loose from there. But I digress

I understand this happened Friday. I haven't hear about it yet. But I haven't talked to anybody from home in going on two weeks.

Wow, that's messed up. I moved away from the DMV almost 16 years ago, and I haven't been back to that church since. So I don't get the news like I use to. I don't understand how the women in that church don't see the con game being played on them...smh. They would go extra hard on the men during their sermons, and sometimes resort to name calling, but go extra light on the women. I guess the theory was, we suppose to be strong, and take the criticism better...nothing biblical about that, when you're in wrong with the Most High. Then when they did go a little hard on the women, they made sure they'd follow up, and go three times harder on the men. Then the women would smile and look at you, the way a girl looks at her brother when her farther holds him accountable, and not her, when they were both guilty. Meanwhile her mother, who would have did the motherly thing, and held her just as accountable, is no where to be found. I got tired of this torture. But back then, pointing any of this out somehow made you a cry baby or a sissy.

This was practiced because the church had more women, which meant they were the major tithers. When they kept preaching that men suppose to submit to their wives, without reading the verse's before and after that, I decided I'd had enough. This wasn't the only Black church doing this.

I was shocked when I saw those new townhouses and apartments they built right down the street from suitland metro station on silver hill road. They tore down that whole shopping center. That whole area is going to be slowly gentrified like you said it’s right there on Pennsylvania Avenue. 15 mins and you’re in downtown DC.

Apartments right next to branch avenue station are already $2000 for an efficiency.

Land near any metro station is gonna be worth some money. Parking in DC is atrocious it makes way more sense to park up and take the train into the city.
