second one is closer to an assist.. he drew defenders.. first one.. every defender stayed home.. he aint assist shyt...these types of things are arbitrary. You can question an assist in damn near every nba game played. The first one was def an assist to me, the second one is more questionable
if the pass opened for a coast to coast without defenders.. i would give the assist too...You can go coast to coast in 2k and still get an assist![]()
Which is why we need to stop using the box score. Ad nauseam.

Anything to hate
Next thing you know he didn't grab the rebounds because someone else boxed out for him

There is nothing in the rules about 2 dribbles. If you throw an outlet pass ahead of the pack, that's an assist no matter how many dribbles. But if you're in the post or on the perimeter and you're out there pivoting, pumpfaking, etc, the passer didn't assist shyt."An assist can be awarded for a basket scored after the ball has been dribbled if the player's pass led to the field goal being made."

Some of you nikkas are COMPLETE clowns
Even in the broadcasts, the announcers consider anything with 2 dribbles or less an assist
