I don't think hating on gays just cause they're gay is cool (never liked the word homophobic). But at the same time, i don't think we need to compare the two. Yeah - I find that whenever privilege is discussed, there's an inherent lack of nuance involved, which is why I tend to find it easier to have discourse with intersectional feminists because even if I may disagree with something they have said, they have a greater understanding of nuance. I can acknowledge that my blackness counts against me as a disadvantage in western society but my manhood will negate that in parts compared to women and transgenders (even gays to an extent, but white gay men tend to retain a high level of power themselves).

I agree wholeheartedly with the last sentence. I had to examine how pro-black I really was if I was going to be excluding other black people because of their orientation, gender or otherwise. If I'm for black liberation for all, surely that must include black gays, black trans etc?

But I think that's why they treat other people like shyt. Racism is a mental illness that many people of color are the main victims of, but racism was also made to dupe white people too. Trick them into believing they are superior beings simply for having the "right" color.

That's why Jim Crow laws were enabled because that period during reconstruction when white folks couldn't own slaves and former slaves were unifying to build their own communities that rivaled the white ones was a probably the lowest point in white American history. The morale was low, white folks weren't working as hard as they used to, the southern economy was shyt so they made Jim Crows law to favor white folks and put black people at a disadvantage and the MORALE of white folks went up and they went back to working hard and restoring the economy.

The point is if you are white and treated like shyt in this country they will be extra salty with people of color for 2 main reasons

One to show solidarity with the ruling class, the Irish were shytted on until they joined the police force in droves and enforced that supremacy on black folks then they became excepted

and 2 because they are white they will take the anger out on another group they feel are beneath them because they need to feel some level of superiority (like all those nerdy kids who get picked on and bullied will be the most racist)
