No. Spotify has a free tier, and that was part of their gripe. They could easily say it starts off at 9.99. Netflix has a higher tier too, but no one is out here telling you that Netflix is not 8.99. Something like 75% of the people think this shyt is 20 per month and that's if they know anything about it at all. They interviewed people at Coachella and no one knew anything about it.

the consumer doesn't care about their gripe, they want to know what makes tidal different, it's the lossless option at $20, the $10 option is nothing worth reporting on

Honestly, I always thought this was a pump and dump business idea. I 100% percent believe he saw Dre get "lucky" with Beats streaming service and tried to jack the business model in hopes to have the same success. Won't call it a flop but definitely an uphill struggle.

I do think that a portion of the people praying on Tidal's downfall are doing so because of how friggin smarmy the whole rollout and promotion came off.

We have artists whose tens of millions of dollars of earnings we have read about for years in Forbes saying they will get more of our $ from a purchase with their service on some charity shyt as a marketing tool. Crazy. I would have loved to been a fly on the wall in the meetings where that plan was conceived.
